Drove 15 miles to buy this product at the store. Worth it for the price. NOPE, not at the store. None of our stores carry it. Found out you can only buy it online. Not sure I understand this because the stores have all the supply's for canning, except the wax. Use this wax weekly and all year long. It is consistant in nature. The online service of ordering was simple and was delivered prior to their day they set. Very Satisfied.
I bought this item to make those old Girl Scout or Boy Scout firestarters. You know, the kind where you take an old cardboard egg carton and stuff it with lint from the dryer and pour this wax over them and then break them apart. I hadn't thought of using this in years until we moved where it is cold and have to have a fire going in the winter. I spent WAY too much money on firestarters until I remembered this trick. Works great!
I didn't think paraffin wax was going to be that difficult to find! And it certainly has gotten expensive! But Walmart came through with the cheapest deal, so I had 5 blocks delivered to my door. Thank you. Now I can make some fire starters for the wood stove.
We purchased this wax to use with a home “spa” for hands and feet, intending to use it for arthritis and planter fasciitis. We bought a wax warmer that we are very happy with and wanted to stock up on refill wax. The good quality wax warmer devices are not wax specific, and this is a very good one. We are very happy with our purchase.
Amazon lists the same thing for $8.56 or something like that. Got it here for $3.27 with tax and in-store shipping. CAN'T BEAT THAT!!!! Product comes in four 4oz bars. Great for what I need it for - Keeping a drysuit zipper lubricated.
Can't really "review" this product. It's 1lb or wax and does what it's supposed to do. Shipping was fast. One thing - good luck trying to find it in your actual Walmart store. Maybe in my area they're just not carried. I tried two of them with no luck, even though the store locator said it might be in stock. So better to just save the hassle, pay for shipping and order online.
Best paraffin for a thousand uses. I highly recommend this product for survivalists, campers, bikers etc you could literally use paraffin cotton and lighter fluid to create a quick fire starter.
melts easily and coats things completely. awesome wax all around. just starting to dabble in diy and this just so happened to be the first wax I tried and im so glad that it was.
Works great for candles. Only reason gave it 4 stars, instead of 5, is price. Why is wax for making candles so expensive? Anyone know? Making candles for a hobby is not cheap. You can actually buy candles already made at the dollar store and get more wax for the price. Just does not make sense and Google can't help, either.
