It's a go-to product for me, and Walmart has it at the lowest price.
I had an slow oil leak that, over time, would spread to large areas along the sides and bottom of the engine and transmission and would mix with road grime into an ugly mess. Gunk Original degreaser would always take care of this quickly. Follow up with Gunk engine brightener and it makes the under hood of an 11 year old car look brand new. Fast, easy, inexpensive. You can't beat that.
it gets the filth off the motor
I guess the EPA made the company reduce it's strength for environmentally safer use. It works ok, but not as well as it did back in the 70's and 80's. Back then you barely had to do much scrubbing. Just let it soak for 10 minutes on motor and everything under the hood of a car and hose it off. Now days you have to scrub everything with a motor cleaning brush and allow it to soak in for at least 20 minutes. Also you have to use much more and really spray it on heavy. It does work better than the foaming type. useing palin old kerosene works much better but sticks badly for a longer time.
