My apartment stays hot and can't have a air conditioner so I got this and love it .
Used all summer in New Mexico heat. Worked great!!
I bought this for my Fiancee.. She absolutely loves it. She told me that it's a bit noisy but it's a AC most are a lil noisy. Has tons features and settings : Sleep timer, Dehumidifier, REMOTE, and more. Gets cold fast also. The hardest part of it all was the exhaust hose going to the window. Got to make sure u give enough space that the hose is not smashed or obstructed in no way. Rule of thumb about 20 inch away from the wall.
I had this for a month now. Easy set up. Cools the entire area. Much love!
I bought this because our central unit kept going out, and we got tired of heating to death waiting 3 or 4 days for the A.c. guy to show up. Not to mention the cost! I thought the 6000 btu would struggle trying to cool my living room and kitchen. But this little unit is a champ! It has proven itself to be well worth the money. It says it is a self evaporating unit. It has been running 2 weeks now, and we haven't had to empty it once. it's so cool in there now, I actually get cold. My son has one also, he puts in on dehumidifier and it gets even colder. As far as noise, well its an indoor air conditioner so there is some noise but not overwhelming. I bought 2 of them thinking that I would need 2 but it is great with just 1 of them. I love it so much, I don't want to return the extra. I've read some reviews that they feel to much heat coming off the hose. We do not experience that with this unit. If you do go to Lowes get this thin duct isolation wrap around the hose, problem solved. So if your on the fence, try it you might just be pleasantly surprised like I was.
It's great. It keeps my room nice and cool. The dehumidifier feature is wonderful. I live in a very humid area and it takes the humidity out of my room very quickly and makes the temperature cooler at the same time. I'm very glad I bought it.
Bought this for my minivan / camper traveling van once I insulated the exhaust vent hose it cools down very well. I have tried this in 108* temps in the daytime full sun on the vehicle and temps started over 140 * I turned on the port. ac unit and soon it was 95 then 87 then 78 and that was as cold as it could go. and that tells me at night it will be even colder. So I am very happy with this unit
It nice and small but it gets hot the hose going out window get to hot room dont cool so much due to the heat .
We all know (I hope) that you can't turn these things over or lie them down. There's even a warning on the box. However, there are no finger or hand grips anywhere. Unless you're fairly tall, it is very difficult to get this out of the box and carry it up or down steps. It is also very very loud, and beeps when the sleep times turns it off, which wakes me up every time. It is difficult to empty the water out of it, because the tube is almost at floor-level, so it's almost impossible to get anything deep enough beneath it. But, it works. It makes the room cool. That's a plus.
If you're looking for a nice dependable portable ac unit...keep looking! This unit worked great until a few weeks past the 1 year warranty. Now it only works for a short time and shuts off with an error message that the water tank is full. I've tried to empty the tank as per the manufacturer's instructions and no water even comes out. When I plug it back in, it works again briefly and then shuts off again with the same error message.
