This model is very efficient, runs quiet, and is easy to install with all the needed accessories. Kools my small 1 bedroom great and have to turn the fan on low at night to keep from shivering! Good price and shipped within a week after ordering online.
looks nice not loud
I have a home office where I repair computers, so there is a lot of heat generated in this small 10x10 room. I needed a cooling solution without taking up the window. The price is much more on these through the wall, but in the long run, I think it is worth it. The unit installed pretty easy, after the sleeve (which you need to find elsewhere) was installed. The room cools down in a few minutes, even with a lot of computers running. It sometimes seems as though it could go to a higher level, or more fan speed, but overall it cools things down really nice. I know if I was not running so much equipment it would almost be too much for this room, but for my needs it works just right. The nicest thing is when I am running it during the day, it stays cool, then when it cools down at night, I can shut it off, and open the window. Something you just can't do with a window unit. The remote works well, I like the different settings including the fan only and dehumidifier. It does produce noise, but I would not say it is overly noisy or a problem. I purposely located away from where I work during the day, and that seems to help. The only thing I don't know is the power consumption on my bill yet. But the nice thing is I run it on low most of the time, and when it gets hot this summer, I can crank it up.
The air conditioner is quite loud when the fan speed is set in the high mode, although, I did find the fan noise to be at a more acceptable level when set at low or medium. It is set-up to cool my kitchen, dining room, and living room areas, and it does so in about 20 minutes. Easy installation. It took less then 5 minutes to install.
