I LOVE this jewelry cleaner. No messy, stinky, dangerous chemicals, just straight tap water! Seriously, you just fill the basin up with water, put your jewelry in, plug it in, and turn it on. With my diamond wedding rings I actually saw the "gunk" coming out of the tiny crevices I was never able to clean. It is the best for the price!
I love this product. It cleans my jewelry as well as my glasses beautifully. I can't believe how good my jewelry and glasses look. I wear mascara, as well as eye liner, and it tends to get in the crevices of the glasses where you absolutely cannot clean any other way. The ultrasonic vibrations clean everywhere and my glasses are always clean now.
I don't know how I could stand wearing jewelry again if I did not have this unit. I had another brand before and replaced it with this one. The dirt lifts like a smoke trail and you can see this with a good overhead light. My jewelry stays so sparkly and friends really notice. They comment on why their jewelry does not sparkle like mine, it's the dirt! I even have used this on my husbands gerber tools and sockets! Here are some tips: 1. You can test how strong your cleaner is by taking a small piece of aluminum foil and dropping it in to the running cleaner. If it is working properly you will see small pitting develop into the foil till it is just massacred! 2. Use a few drops of dish-washing liquid or mr. clean. I also make sure my water is tap hot. Don't use boiling hot since this may ruin the transducer in the unit. 2. Major grime needs to be cleaned as much as you can possibly do on your own. If you have a ring with years of lotion, hair conditioner, and other build up you may need to get some of that crud off first. Use a soft bristled toothbrush. If you have some major dirt it may take more than one cycle. Example: Even a dentist picks the plaque off before he cleans teeth. 4. If you have a loose stone the ultrasonic might shake it out. Some people think the cleaner causes loose stones, it doesn't. Check your settings for missing stones and if one pops out be glad it was likely caught in the tank. The dirt that was temporarily holding it in could have caused you to loose it in the street. 3. Ultrasonic cleaners do not remove tarnish from sterling. If you hare having trouble with tarnish buy some of the activated charcoal for fish tanks, make little sachets, and then put it in a tupperware type bowl with your sterling. Ebay also sells little anti-tarnish ziplock bags for cheap. Be aware you have to remove the tarnish for storing, these methods keep future tarnish away they do not remove tarnish.
My husband bought this for me for Christmas! I was a little skeptical with it just using water but it does : ) They also put in the directions that you can use 2 drops of detergent for a better clean, which I did! I cleaned my husband and my wedding rings and his watch and it cleaned better than expected! You can barely see the little bubbles because they are so small but if you look closely you can see them cleaning your jewelry! I would recommend this product!
This product works great. Cleans all the gunk from my rings, earrings and necklaces. Brings them to a great shine. I would only recommend havng a toothbrush to assist in removing some of the dirt once it is loosened.
I purchased this to clean Orthodontic retainers because they just didn't feel 100% clean after using a toothbrush to scrub them. The Haier Ultrasonic cleaner works EXTREMELY well with just tap water and only takes about 3 minutes to cycle through. I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to make sure their dental appliances are properly cleansed.
works great. only wish it would run longer than it does. on some things 3 minutes is just not enough.
This item could be better, it did work great for cleaning my glasses that i wear everyday jewerly on the other hand, if its extremely dirty as in if you have soap or dirt or any other gunk on your rings necklaces etc; you still better buy your standard jewelry solution to scrub that stuff out then use the ultrasonic cleaner regularly.....i only say that b/c i had a few rings in the jewelery box that we dirty i ran it in the machince got some dirt off...i ran it again and the same thing happened you'd be doing the cycle allll day long!
Don't waste your money! Cool idea and ease of use, but poor results. I am a jewlery guru, so I thought this would be a beneficial purchase to me. I do better with an old toothbrush. I noticed absolutely no change in the jewlery, and wished I hadn't thrown the box and paperwork away before I even tried it.
Did not clean my wife's rings as advertised. We returned it and will purchase another one that uses more than water and waves to clean. It might do well on CD's, but on diamonds it was useless.
