It does toast great easy to use and understand. So far its great. All i have to get used to is where the timer needs to be for my perfect toast. Easy to read buttons and timer. Yes i would recommend.

This extra wide slot toaster is great for thick items like bagel halves and sliced bread. It has a Cancel button so you can quickly pop the toast out if it's getting too done. It's easy to choose a range of toast darknesses.

Slots are wide for the end slices and do not get stuck and burn. The dial is easy to figure out desired toasty-level. We also taught our daughter how to (safely) use this, so now we can sleep 10 extra minutes on weekends while she gets breakfast ready. I do wish it had a better way to store or wrap the cord- but not a deal breaker. Stores easily when not in use. I forgot the simple pleasure of a regular toaster after using a toaster oven for so many years.

The defrost button worked great for frozen waffles. You can push the cancel button anytime to stop the setting you're in and it will pop right up. It toasted everything evenly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had multiple toasters in my time, but this is the one I've been searching for because of the wider slots for the thicker breads I enjoy. I really enjoy a warm bagel in the morning, but my previous toasters always seemed to tear and squeeze the bagel or piece of Texas Toast into something almost unrecognizable. Thank you, thank you to Hamilton Beach for this small appliance. Someone did their homework before designing this product. I will recommend this product to anyone!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This toaster does as advertised, so to speak. It toasts your bread anywhere from light to almost burnt. It also works well toasting bagels and hamburger buns. It looks good on the counter with it's shiney chrome and the selector buttons light up blue when pressed. It also cleans up easy with the hatch underneath.
It quickly toasted our bread to the chosen set , but somewhat unevenly. The inner side (where the heating element is bigger) it was better than the outside (it was a little paler than the other side). Nevertheless those are my observations even though we agree this toaster is perfectly fine.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very nice toaster. I really appreciate the "Bagel" setting. Allows me to toast the bagel or English Muffin without needing to change the darkness setting and then forgetting to lower it when I toast bread! The wide slots are great also, accepting the wider bread products easily. One setting seems to toast all the breads/bagels/muffins without having to change. Very attractive on the countertop and the exterior stays pretty cool. My only issue is the toaster seems to toast a not toast bread evenly at times, one side a little darker. However, bagels and muffins come out great.

It's a great starter toaster for those that have just moved out on their own for the first time or for someone on a budget. As with all toasters, it's hard to find the sweet spot on the first attempt. The bagel setting worked nice; the bagel toasted well. The only major issue I had was with the crumb tray. It's awkward to get unlatched without tipping the toaster sideways. I wish it was a pullout style.
It does not always brown evenly on both sides of the toast when you put only one piece of toast in. It's hard to keep the handle down the first time when trying to toast.
