It's beautiful, elegant and excellent machine for coffee lovers.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you enjoy drinking coffee from your favorite coffee shop, then you're going to love this coffee maker. I've had a basic, traditional coffee maker for years now and decided that it was time for an upgrade. I love that this coffee maker allows me to make customized coffee just the way I like it without having to leave home. I can easily control the temperature and strength of my coffee all with just a touch on the easy to use display panel. Brewing coffee is very easy and can either be brewed instantly or programmed to brew later. I also love the option to brew my coffee manually if I like. It has an integrated scale that measures coffee for just the right coffee/water ratio. Cleanup is very easy as well. I clean all of the removable parts by hand, and follow the instruction manual directions for cleaning the inside of the coffee maker. My only complaint is that the water reservoir isn't removable for cleaning. Other than that, this is a really well made, high quality coffee maker that I recommend to everyone.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My mom loves that it lights up, and it's fun to watch the coffee drip. It does make a really good cup of coffee. Can be a little loud compared to a normal coffeemaker, but is so worth it. I do wish it came in some other colors. A really bright color would be fun!
This automatic coffeemaker has some unique "pour over" style of features which will help you make an exceptional cup of coffee every time. The pros: -It looks awesome. The water tank lights up as the unit brews and clicks off when done. -It's a smaller footprint at 10.5" x 10.5" and 14" tall. It fits well under the cabinets. -You can automatically "bloom/pre-soak" the grounds to release the best flavor. -You can brew your coffee a standard 185 degrees "hot" or a 200 degrees "extra hot": the higher temperature will release the best taste from your beans. -The built in features of the coffeemaker will take your desired pot size, bloom, brew strength (mild to bold) and water temperature to suggest the amount of grounds to use...and then WEIGHS them as you add them in the built in scale. -The brew basket is glass...this one is HUGE for those of us who want to avoid our daily cup of joe brewing through plastic. You can brew your coffee without the plastic pot lid and without the brew basket plastic "collar" so that the only plastic your coffee has touched is the hot water that comes out of the shower head. The cons: -The brew basket is open to the air. ---This means setting up the machine the night before a bit of drag because your beans are open to the air all night. This isn't a problem for me because I grind fresh every time but for some it'll be a deal breaker. ---This also means that you'll get little splashes of coffee water on the counter around the unit as it brews. I knew this would be a "thing" even before I bought the coffeemaker. To correct this, I shaped a piece of silicone mat and cut a hole the size of the shower head to place over the basket as it brews. Fixed! -Some have complained that software used to set up brewing isn't intuitive. I didn't have a problem with it: the unit has a set menu it always follows and once you use it a few times, you're good. In fact, the coffeemaker will remember the last pot you made so when you turn it on, just let it run its menu and then add grounds, water and voila! -Some have said the unit is loud as it brews. Eh, not so bad but if you need a super quiet coffeemaker, this might not be it. -Some have said that the exposed brew basket means a lot of steam during brewing. Yep. Pull it forward from under the cabinets when brewing. You always have steam from a coffeemaker though. -If you always "steal" a cup of coffee from the pot as it brews, you probably won't like this unit: there is no way to STOP the flowing coffee from the brew basket. You're supposed to turn the basket from left to right so the flow goes into the plastic collar / cup it sits in. Better remember to turn it back to the left (and quickly) or you're gonna have coffee going everywhere EXCEPT the pot. This is not a problem for my house but may be for yours. Other than a lack of a brew basket lid, this is the prefect coffeemaker for my family.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I was really excited to try the Hamilton Beach 8 Cup Convenient Craft Pour Over coffee maker, but I admit I was a little intimidated by how complicated it sounded. So many features and functions, it sounded like it may take me forever to figure out. Good news is, it wasn't really complicated at all and I figured it all out very quickly! Even better news, is that it truly makes some of the most flavorful, delicious coffee I've ever made from home! I liked the features of this maker and the ability to really customize your brew to your liking! Being able to adjust the brew strength, water temperature and even turn on or off the bloom are all settings you have the ability to control! The most complicated part of operating this machine was getting used to setting it. For reference, once you press a button to start it, it will wait 4 seconds before advancing to the next setting. During this 4 seconds, you can switch the current setting by pressing the select button to change the selection (bloom on to off for example). If you do not press any button during that 4 seconds, it cycles to the next setting and the process repeats until you come to the section where you add your coffee grounds. This time, you press the scale icon if you wish to use the scale feature that weighs the perfect amount of grounds for your cup amount selection. It will give you a number and as you slowly add the coffee grounds, it counts down until it reaches 0. Once you get use to how this machine cycles through the settings, it's very easy to use! I also love that if you're using the same settings everyday, you only have to press a couple buttons and you can basically just let the machine cycle through the rest of them. The glass parts on this are great and the top part that the filter sits in is extremely thick and heavy duty! I wish the coffee pot itself was a little thicker, because I'm nervous I'll accidentally hit it on my counter one day, but I love that the glass cleans so easily and is dishwasher safe. The coffee warmer function also has an auto shut off after so long and can also manually be switched on or off by pressing the "keep warm" button. This is definitely an amazing machine and perfect for serious coffee lovers!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this makes a decent coffee. I did have to adjust the amount of ground I added though. Level three is to strong and two is a bit weak. I really like that it has a bloom feature. Doing a bloom on the ground was something I learned a long time ago. It makes a huge difference. It takes about 6 minutes to be fou cups of coffee. I do wish this had an insulated carafe. The glass looks nice, but I hate coffee that sits on a hot plate. I'd rather it be in something insulated. It can also be a little confusing, definitely have to read the manual. Also I wish the water reservoir was removable. As far as I can figure out it's not removable, which makes cleaning it out rather difficult.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This works really great. I really like how you can change the flavor of the coffee by measuring the weight. I was nerves about the all glass craft, but it turned out to be great. This maker works really fast and makes the flavor so much better.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off, love the look of this coffee maker. It has such a modern, sleek look, looks great on my counter. This was my first time brewing with a pour over coffee machine, I wasn't a fan of it but that was the coffee I used, and not the machine. It brewed wonderfully. The coffee was piping hot and bold (like, I set it for). I was trying a new brand of coffee and was not o fan of that. I love having the option to self pour or let the machine do the "pouring ". Would definitely recommend if you are a coffee fanatic!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pour-over coffee maker really does make a great tasting cup of coffee. It only needs about half the amount of grounds needed for a regular drip coffee maker. I had a tough time figuring out how to navigate the digital settings and I know my senior parents would have needed help. Set aside a good chunk of time to setup and make the first brew. Once over the learning curve, it gets much easier.
The glass brew basket on the machine came broken, but the machine is high quality. Still waiting on customer service to get back to me about sending me a replacement.
