using the panini press puts a new meaning of a sandwich. It is fast to make and easy clean up. After using this can't just eat a sandwich again without putting on the Panini press. This is like getting a restaurant specialty sandwich. I liked the one we got for Christmas so much that I went out and got my daughter one too. My husband is so happy now cause he gets his reuben sandwich all the time now.
Really easy! Started on grilled cheese on wheat bead as a novice. Worked up to ham, Swiss cheese, lettuce, tomato, and horseradish sauce on Italian rolls. All came out great! This Panini Maker gets hot fast. Less than three minutes. The grilled cheese took three minutes to cook. The ham and cheese was thick like a Dagwood. That took nine minutes. Just peek and if the cheese is starting to melt onto the bottom grill, pull the plug. Clean up with a moist wash cloth is easy. Tip-if the recipe calls for butter on the outside of the bread/roll, don't do it. The teflon on the grills makes for no sticking. Though a plastic spatula help to get the Panini out. So, if you want, some extra virgin olive oil inside the bread/roll works fine. Small for storage also. All in all, buy one, you won't regret it. Ideal for two people as it makes two Panini's at a time. Plus, the price is right. P.S. Made a sliced steak, romaine lettuce, heirloom tomato and extra virgin olive oil on wheat bread Panini for my adult son to take to his apartment for lunch tomorrow. Three minutes to cook. He'll just microwave it and let me know how that works out.
I purchased this item for my husband (who loves to cook), and he was first of all very surprised, then secondly excited to have a panini maker. No more placing something on top of a sandwich in a pan to give the effect of a panini. The panini press is light weight, easy to clean and an excellent choice for a quick meal. The price was great, the color was exactly as shown online and I will absolutely recommend this item to friends and family.
Make a panini any time with ease!
I really like it. It gets super hot in a short time. But it does not have an on/off button which I don't like. When it gets too hot, I want to turn it off and then maybe turn it on again after some time so I keep unplugging it in order to do that which is not practical at all. Also, the handle was broken and I feel like it can happen again...
Love it! Walmart has this at an unbeatable price! Just go for it!!! Easy, quick and you will be hooked! Only cons is cleaning! Plates don't come off so I use moist paper towel after use to clean!
The only thing I don't like is cleaning the plates. They wipe off easy enough, but I wish they were removable so I could give them a good wash and rinse.
Who ships in original brand box ? This item came without a shipping box, just a label slapped on the original panini box. So weird. Also when I opened box it looked like it was already used and an attempt at a wipe down. There was a white film on the grates, and there is rust on the top lid, wth? And it took 3 weeks to arrive. Going to return it.
I bought this and when it arrived it was damaged,broken , please I want to know if there is a way to send me one that is in good condition because I pay my money for something that is in perfect condition and it was missing parts .
I've had this product for 9 months and it's already broken in 4 different ways. FOUR DIFFERENT THINGS ARE BROKEN ON IT. The back hinges are broken. The lever to lock the lid is broken. The bottom plate doesn't get hot. One of the feet broke off. Don't waste your money. I've used this maybe 20 times. Completely unacceptable.
