i was only looking for okay lipgloss on clearance because i had a little extra cash. i bought this on a whim, based on the previous review. and they were right! this stuff is brilliant. the color is very pink, very vibrant, but not in a way that makes you look weird like most bright pink colors. it glides on with ease, unlike any other lipstick i've had. it isn't stick, it's very creamy. it's like lipgloss, but better. if you're looking at this, i definitely guarantee you buy it.
I love hard Candy products in general, but the Painted Lady lipsticks are my favorite so far. All of them have this amazing packaging. You can see the lipstick colour at the top, since the tip is clear. Then each case has a unique design on it that goes with the colour of the the lipstick; some are a bit boring, but most are pretty. And all have a pink split ribbon at the end, which adds an amazing flare. Just pull the ribbon and the clear tip in opposite directions to open. The product itself is out of this world. The pigmentation is top-notch, and the texture is super-smooth and creamy, so much so that it feels like a lip gloss. Night Out is a dark purple with red-ish undertones, and is a bit more matt than the other colours of Painted Lady that I've tried. It's very dark and sultry and funky on me, especially so since I have very fair skin. This colour would probably look pretty good and almost normal as a statement night look for someone with skin that's milk chocolate or darker. On someone with really fair skin it can look funky and fun as long as you wear the lipstick, and don't let it wear you. I can't see it looking too good on someone with skin in the middle, though, unless you can REALLY work it into the look as a whole. It's not a colour I would recommend anyone to wear day-time, but it is something fun to have on hand, especially for six dollars!
I already bought and loved the "Perfect 10" lipstick from this line so thought I'd try another one. I have very dry lips and have to use Chapstick before applying any lipstick so it doesn't settle into creases. Not so with these lipsticks. They are super-duper moisturizing and feel amazing on lips - not greasy nor heavy, just perfect! They also don't have the nauseous smells/tastes. This particular color is kind of a dark brown with reddish undertones - but not too dark. I'm a brunette with medium skin tones and it looks very flattering. Also, with these lipsticks, you can apply a very small amount for a lighter look or layer it on for a full-on glam. Enjoy!
I haven't bought actual lipstick in years. I've mostly stuck to the liquid lipstick that lasts 12 hours with a second gloss coat, but I was finding the colors offered by other brands less desirable. WOW! This stuff is superb! I was amazed at how creamy this is, and how smoothly it glides on. It's almost as if the heat from my lips was melting it a little and it just glided right on. Best off, this layers extremely well, so that I can adjust how much coverage I want very easily depending on how lightly I apply it. After also buying some lip gloss from them, this is definitely my new favorite brand of makeup. The quality is impressive, and even more so for the price. I hope Walmart NEVER stops carrying Hard Candy! I can't wait to buy more.
This lipstick I found in Walmart, was just amazing. I mean there was no discusting smell,the color was like red hard candy with pinkish implots. I just love the rocket like container. That was a great design. I would totally buy the product again.
I was looking for a replacement for an Estee Lauder lipstick that I loved......it was no longer available....found you...."RUSH HOUR"......looks like the same colour to me, in the true light of day/outside....WOW!!!!! At a fraction of the price.....GREAT ON THE LIPS.....very happy!!!!! I'll be back to try more products....I'm almost 63, so I've spent a fortune on makeup.....time to break out of the box.....thanks Walmart and Hard Candy....
-That is what i did not realize when i purchased it... -I was actually looking for what you could call a 'gothic' looking lipstick. (if you know where i can get some @ a good price , please let me know). -Regardless, this is a nice lipstick. It is really moisturizing, and i am a big chapstick girl, so i really liked it. -About the color, yeah its more of a winey , sheer color, not really purple or that dark really. -Hard Candy cosmetics, i LOVe THem!
Finally, I found a perfect lipstick... no glitter, no nauseous smell (very very faint honey? smell), very rich pigmented color yet not heavy on the lips AND it has the staying power. The color is nude with faint pinkish undertones.
This color is a great reddish/plummish color with just a hint of brown and really subtle shimmer. Although it isn't listed as being a sheer lipstick, that's what I think it really is. It feels very moisturizing, although it isn't what I would consider especially long wearing. For the money, though, you can't beat it!
I use to love hard candy products when I was a teenager although they used to be more expensive and a bit more pricey the eye-shadows are nothing like they used too be and lack pigment, but I have to say their lipstick has remained awesome, this color is not so much a bright hot pink but it is a beautiful pink shade, and it's really moisturizing I really like it, I just wish the walmart website would give us more of a description.
