I am super excited to have this hammer! Hart was a hammer and hatchet maker before the brand was dedicated to Walmart. (I actually saved a new Hart hatchet from the old days. See picture.) So I always thought that the hammer from Hart is a bit better than its average offerings. It swings comfortably and feels well balanced in my hand and has all the bells and whistles of a better than average hammer. It has a sloped hitting surface for a straight hit. There is also a magnetic nail holder and a side-ways nail puller. This is not your super basic Hart hammer! I think that I saw this style of Hart hammer in Home Depot before and the list price was between $25 and $30. I think probably Walmart will offer a better deal. Highly recommended.
It's a little bit marred up and scratched but it's a hammer so that's expected, other than that it feels very nice in the habd and the nice combfort grip handle absorbs a lot vibration and shock so it's not going into your hand and hurting your hand,I've used this hammer for everything and put it through a good abuse test and it seems to hold up surprisingly well, definitely a good hammer for the money.
My husband is going crazy over this hammer. It has a nail puller on the side of the head of it. Great to get in tight spaces. It'll also hold a nail while you start it so you don't accidentally smack your fingers. The part that smacks the nail is slightly slanted, which makes sense because when you swing a hammer, it never hits it perfectly straight, so now it will with the slant to it. Nice and heavy to give it a harder hit. Everyone should have one of these.
This is a fantastic hammer! It is very strong and sturdy. It has a great grip handle. The straight nail claw part is really nice to pull out nails quick and easily. This hammer has a magnetic nail holder to get started easily. I have been really impressed with this hammer and I actually want to try other products by this company now.
I restore houses inside and out for a living doing everything from demolition to carpentry. This is my day to day hammer that I use for everything from pulling nails to sometimes framing. The head is a little small for framing but if you're framing you need to step up to the 20 or 22oz hammers. This one is nice and light and perfect for using above your head or at weird angles on a ladder all day long for me. I've had it in use everyday since December of 2021 so almost 4 months now and it's taken it's beatings without skipping a step. The grip is comfortable and has held up perfectly so far as well. I would recommend this hammer to someone who needs a versatile hammer that doesn't cost a ton.
This HR Hammer has a grip that absorbs shock and lessens sting even when nailing into the hardest materials like engineered beams. To help you work faster, safer, and more precisely, this hammer features a magnetic nail starter for rapid driving while extending overhead reach and range, a smooth face for damage-free nail driving. This nailing hammer also features a versatile rip claw for precision nail removal, and splitting.
I was surprised with the weight of this hammer! It is very solid and well made! We just recently used this hammer in our basement during our remodel. We had to take all the trim off and put new trim up around our whole basement. This hammer definitely made the job more bearable! The nail pull makes taking out old nails a breeze and the magnetic nail set is awesome as it makes getting the nails started so much easier. I also love the rubber handle as the grip is super comfortable! This hammer is perfect for all of my household projects and I know this hammer will last us for years! If you are looking for a new high quality hammer, I definitely recommend this one by Hart.
nice Eswing stype handle a magnet cinched to the top note * (not a magnetic face hammer) nail remover on the side isnt quite sharp enough to pull those stubborn buried nails . overall a nice hammer for the cost will probably get the 24oz next
The handle grip is really comfortable to hold and I like that there are a lot of different features like the nail puller and magnetic nail preset however I did have an issue. I used a hammer to tap down 4 door hinge pins and there appears to be a hard plastic type coating on the end of the hammer that chipped off. There were also scuffs in the hammer coating down to the steel upon arrival before I used it. That stuff aside it is a hammer and it's meant to get beat up, I will still get lots of use out of it!
I gave this to my husband who is a union carpenter to try and he said the head is to small, the length is to short, and on the side nail pull it doesn't work to pull a nail. He brought it home to me and said it is good for small things at home like hanging pictures etc. I appreciate that he was honest so I will put in the garage for my household use.
