Love this trimmer! Not only is it rechargeable but, the battery lasts long enough to get our quarter of an acre, all fenced in, yard trimmed. We've owned several rechargeable trimmer's but, none had batteries that lasted as long as this one. It's very quiet, extremely quick, And is long enough to get in under trees and under our shed. Highly recommend it!
I got my new HART 20V brushless weed trimmer. I LOVE HART products and have several. (my hope is to get most of all of them one day) HART makes a great product at a reasonable price. I have several products already that are 20V, so same the battery can be used with all. Believe me, that is super nice to have. I keep the batteries charged up and am always ready for any job that comes up. This trimmer is reasonably light (about 6.7 pounds) and is not real heavy. I am a 63 year old female about 115 pounds and I can handle it pretty easily. This trimmer is adjustable from 11” to 13” and covers a lot of grass quickly. It has a bump line feed and is super easy to reload..about a minute or so. It uses .080 line. It easily converts to edger with rotating shaft. It was very easy to put together. SO love the fact that there is no gas or oil to deal with. You can adjust the handle bar to suit your size and comfort. Also glad I don't have to wear myself out trying to start it like I used to with a gas weedeater. I can pretty much trim my whole yard on one charge. Depends on how long in between cuttings that I go. LOVE this great Hart product! I LOVE this trimmer! So easy and quick to get a job done!!
The trimmer came partially assembled, string loaded, and so it didn't take me more than 15 minutes to unfold the shaft and attach the screws, handle and the guard all quite effortlessly using just a regular Phillips head screwdriver. It included a 20V, 4Ah Lithium-Ion battery and a fast charger that I plugged into the electric outlet and the battery was fully charged in a little while. I have previously had a gasoline run trimmer as well as an electric one and this is my first battery operated trimmer. The gasoline trimmer was real heavy and the electric one required laying down extension cords all over my yard. This trimmer is pretty lightweight to hold and work with and all I have to do is charge the battery every now and then. I am more than pleased with the assembly of the trimmer. It has two operating modes: low and high. I normally use the low mode, but for the areas of yard where there is St Augustine grass, I have to use high mode, which is high speed/power. The bump feed function works well and a gentle tap on the grass advances the string. The battery charge lasts for a while and, in one charge, I'm able to do all my yard trimming of a pretty large size yard that I have, which takes about 30 minutes to finish. One thing to note is that when using it for an extended period of time, it will pause for 5-10 seconds, perhaps to prevent overheating. It's important to know this because you may think it has simply run out of battery when this is not the case. With it being so lightweight, its easy to clean up the entire yard without breaking your back. I can't speak to the durability of it yet, and I will update my review if need be. Overall, I am very pleased with the quality and function of this trimmer/edger. It gets the job done and is quick to assemble and maintain.
I started by first charging the 20 volt battery pack while reading the easy assembly of this trimmer. It took less than one half hour for me to assemble. The battery pack is great but the charger seems kind of flimsy but did work and charge as normal. Was hoping it was more heavy duty charger but so far I'm enjoying this new addition to my yard tools. The trimmer is well balanced as you can place the handle where it is comfortable for you. I really like the bump head and easy to advance the 0.080 line. I'll probably buy the precut 3 pack of cord when needed. While using it as an edger I found that the low speed position had plenty of power for my use. My wife even said it's light enough for her and well balanced. Its light and both powerful for my use and sure don't miss buying gas and mixing oil and pulling that gas trimmer I once owned. Very happy so far and would recommend for a man or woman to own and operate. Nice new addition to my small workshop tool inventory. Very handy and no cords!
I am continuously impressed with the Hart brand. I love that their batteries are interchangeable, and they last awhile too! I can use this on my whole yard without needing a recharge, I live on an acre but I've used other brands that didn't last! These charge quickly as well. Super easy to use and reload line. I love that the line doesn't break off easily either because I have a lot of metal fence to trim around. In the garden section of Walmart, Hart has a whole line of their products now so it was super easy to find new line for when I do need it. It's even color coded per machine which is so smart and helpful! I can't wait to get more Hart products.
Never had a battery powered weed eater (trimmer) before. Always used gas or electric (plug in). I used to do some landscaping & maintenance for the state I live in. I really enjoy how easy this is to use & how long the battery last. It's been super easy to use to teach my 14 year who is new to do the yard work with power tools. He can easily plug it in, use eye protection, and do the whole back yard in one single charge. One issue I always had with gas was the vibration on my hands. I have carpal tunnel & that really bothered it. This does not do that at all! No mixing gas or having to run & purchase fuel & oil to mix anymore. So that's good for the environmental too. Would highly recommend
You'll be amazed at the power this 13" BRUSHLESS trimmer produces. If you've used other string trimmers, and were unhappy with excessive line breakages, this will solve that issue. They somehow have string, that never seems to break. Along those same lines, while I have no other tools that use a battery, except my 10+ year old 1/4" drill, this trimmer can easily do, without recharging, my front fescue lawn, back lawn, my vinca minor side yard, and my kikuyu back yard (this is a tough, tough grass). Enjoy!
Using right side up or sideways, it's a great trimmer. Easy to use and move from up to sideway for trimming along the edge of the lawn with no debris flying in my face. Comes with everything you need to start trimming including the battery and the charger, instructions and easy to assemble. Great deal. Long enough handle for the taller people in our home too. Great little trimmer.
.Nice unit, cuts very well. It has a decent battery run time, and recharges quickly. The trimmer definitely has power enough to easily cut down 8-10 inch high overgrown grass. The only two drawbacks I noticed were the plastic handle isn't very sturdy (feels a bit cheaply made). Hopefully it will hold up. The other item was the way the two parts of the shaft connect. Two screws are tightened down to hold the two sections together. Need to keep an eye on them to make sure they don't back off while using the trimmer. It would have been better to use snap push buttons to fasten the two sections together. Again, this is a decently made trimmer, that will easily perform what is needed.
Great trimmer! Light weight, comfortable to handle and hold. It's longer than any other trimmer I've tried making it so easy to handle for us smaller people with shorter arms! Assembly was a breeze with simple instructions that you almost don't need. My husband and I took turns using it and it cleaned up our yard beautifully. Having a cordless trimmer makes our yard work so much easier and enjoyable. Incredibly convenient. Also the sleek design and color is one of nicest I've ever seen for a trimmer, impressive! Not sure how long the battery lasts but we completed our trim work all around our front and back yard with one charge and still had charge left. Love how it has 2 strings instead of one! Very powerful, really gets the job done. I absolutely recommend this trimmer. We love it!
