This thing is way better than expected! I've rigged up misters to it. I've hooked up a misting fan using the 5gal tank. I've used it at many places! It's just awesome!
If you're trying to power wash your boat or driveway then this is not for you. However, if you want to take a shower after a long camping weekend or do dishes, wash your feet, hands then this is your best buddy. I went on 4 day camping trip with 15 people and everyone loved it at the Campground. On day 3 after a long hike everyone was so dirty and hot. I took a shower in the parking lot and had two people come over asked where I got it.
This is perfect for beach trips, or camping, so the sand and the mud stay there and does not enter your car. The machine empty is not heavy at all, the battery is small and light but it holds 5 gallons of water, so be careful when uploading (or upload empty and then fill it with a garden hose). It is not a power washer, it rinses and wahes with different options. It's perfect where you need to rinse something and do not have a near faucet.
Things I love about this rinser: Well made, sturdy and well designed. The cord, battery, charger, unit and all interfaces are intuitive and well executed. It is easy to install/uninstall the battery in the charger or the unit. And….the battery and charger are included. (Also, a cord and 12v plug for use in the car) It is easy to hook up the hose to the unit and the spray handle. The cords are all Sturdy with solid transitions to plugs. There is a strap to hang the hose from the side of the unit. It even has a light on the side. The unit is Sturdy and durable with a nice handle and easy, intuitive controls. The spray nozzle gives you many choices of spray patterns for all sorts of applications and different psi. The psi is similar to indoor plumbing so a small stream has more focused power and the spray feature is more dispersed. The rinser holds 5 gallons and sprays out about a gallon a minute. Things I hate: Mud and sand – especially in my car, trailer, boat and house. The rinser is an awesome tool to rinse the mud and sand off of boots, feet, paws, tires so that it stays outside. Why do dogs roll in the sand when wet just as you want to load them into your car or boat? This rinser is just the ticket to clean up your furry friend. Ever have to drive half the soccer team home after a game in the rain? Line ‘em up and rinse off those shoes and muddy gear. Garden hose won't stretch quite far enough to spray off that back side of the shed? You can get there with the rinser. And water a few plants along the way. Love the rinser cuz it handles mud and sand! There are many applications for use of the rinser and it is up to the challenge on all. Highly recommend for off site jobs.
I really like this Rinser! I charged up the battery a couple of days before I used the rinser and it was very easy to put the battery in. The hose that comes with it is about 20 feet long. That is good because, although it is portable, it is heavy with the water in it. You'll want to carry it to where you want to use it and fill it there. It took a couple of tries to get the hose connected, but that could just be my inexperience with tools. Once I turned it on, it took a couple of minutes for the water to get through the hose and actually spray out. Thereafter, the water flow started right up. I also had a hard time disconnecting the hose, perhaps because it still had lots of water in it. Not sure. I will ask my son to help me. Nevertheless, it is a cool product! I love the variety of sprays through the nozzle. I plan to plant a garden in the rear of my back yard and this is going to be perfect for watering out there where the garden hose does not reach. I also plan to take this with us when we go camping. Lots of uses for it there! Overall, I definitely recommend Hart's Rinser.
Ordered the rinser after hearing about it from an overlanding forum - they mentioned it was on clearance for $49. We camp out of an suv and I've always wanted a portable shower setup. Just put it through 7 days of warm showering bliss and it performed flawlessly. Can't comment specifically on battery life, so it may or may not last as long as the manual states. I kept the battery topped off to avoid losing power mid shower (yeah, the 12 volt power could be used). I actually painted the rinser tank black (left some of the front opaque to view water level - see pics) and filled the tank in the morning and let it absorb sunlight all day. The water was probably warm enough to shower with, but I heated maybe 1.5 gallons fairly hot on a coleman stove and mixed it in the tank. I know I exceeded the maximum 104* listed on the instructions, but I wanted a warm shower. The 5 gallon tank is enough for two people to shower if they use water sparingly (like most campers know to do)….and you can rinse your little heart out if you use it for one shower (pun intended). For $49 it was the best single investment I've made in the camping world…and if for some reason it never works again, it was worth it. Fact is, it's worth the money at full price.
I received my HART 20V Rinser Kit. This is another great idea from HART. I have several HART products. The batteries can be used on other HART products as well. That is a real perk for me. This rinser came with everything needed to get started. A nozzle that has 8 different streams such as mist, full, shower, etc. The on/off lever is in the handle of the nozzle and easy to use. There is the 20V battery and includes a charger. The quick connect hose is long enough to use conveniently most anywhere. Also included is 12V port charger so that you could plug into your car or SUV. The battery charges pretty fast and has the blue indicator on the front to check to see how much battery you have left. It is all very easy to setup and use. I fish a lot and plan to take this along this summer for easy cleanup after a fishing trip. It will also be used to fill cats bowls with water, and cleanup jobs that do not have a water hose close by. Very nifty idea. The only down side is – it can get rather heavy when you add water. 5 gallons of water is a lot. I do wish it had wheels. Around the house I will just use a wagon to pull it. It has 3 year warranty and can go up to 38 gallons per charge!!
This is a good idea and my intention on getting this were to use it as a shower for my van or camping. It holds 5 gallons of water and works using a 20 volt battery. It has sufficient pressure to take a shower but you will still need to get the water warm somehow like using a solar shower to heat the water. A concern for me is all the warnings in the operating manual about electrical hazards and not to point the spray nozzle at your eyes. However it did suggest you could use the unit to rinse off feet, legs, and shoes before getting back in the car after being at the beach. It has a cord that allows you to plug the unit into your car so you always have power. It has a neat nozzle holder and long hose. The hose is not heavy duty though and is more of a tube. Unit shuts down when you stop spraying so you do not have to constantly turn it on and off every 15 seconds. With 5 gallons of water in it this unit weighs about 50 plus pounds so it may be wise to have it on a cart if your going to move it around alot.
I was very excited about the product at first after purchasing it on sale, but after the first use, the hose connection broke. I was even super careful about it because I know those connections are delicate. Now I'm trying to find a replacement piece with no luck. I'm hoping Hart stands by their product, and helps me with a replacement.
Useless. The water all leaked out of the bottom of the unit before I even turned on the pump. And when I did turn on the pump nothing came out. Cant return due to the 90 day return policy. So there goes $150
