I really like this pruner saw. It is a 8 inch battery powered chain saw. It works very good. It can cut a two inch branch into fire wood lengths in about thirty seconds. It can cut a six inch branch no problem. It is not as heavy as a gas powered saw and is easy to handle. I use it to trim lower branches on trees in my yard so I can mow under them without hitting my head on the branches. I like that it is battery powered. No gas to buy or mix and no exhaust in the air. Good for the environment. I put a little chain oil on the chain once in a while to keep it lubed as per the instructions and charge the battery when it needs it. Other than that, not much maintainance. If you have trees in your yard that need trimming, this saw will work good for you. This is a real nice saw that works great and is fun to use.
This is my very first pruner saw and I love it. Some tree branches are just to big (at least for me) to get off with a manual saw but I always hesitated to get an electric pruning saw. Now I can asked myself "why". This Hart 20-Volt 8" pruning saw is just great.
Hart 20-Volt Pruner Saw with a 20-Volt 2Ah Lithium-Ion Battery is a game changer, this will replace my chainsaw and hedge clippers. Some assembly required for the safety tip nose guard, the tool to tighten is in the handle (squench) the scabbard can not be used unless you remove the safety tip for storing. The rechargeable battery takes 45 minutes to fully charge and easily clicks into the base if the machine. Be careful attaching or touching the blade area as you will cut yourself (lesson learned). It has a safety guard in front of the handle which also has several reminders and precautions, blade is 8 inches, machine light weight. I started with a very unruly rose bush that was in dire need of cut back, but hedge clippers got caught up in it, chain saw was much to heavy for me to move precisely. I had one day of 50 degree weather before a snow storm hit. The wind took down a very large oak branch covering our private drive to the last two houses. I read the massive instruction booklet and took on this massive project. It took me about two hours to finally get it done, but the feeling of accomplishment was amazing as us this pruning saw. I recommend anyone remotely considering hedge trimmers to check this out. No oil needed, no mixing gas and oil. Hart is definitely my new go to brand. I am 56, my mind tends to think it's 30 and bigger is better however bigger is heavier, more costly not only on pocketbook but the back as well. Highly recommended product.
great to use and powerful to cut tree branches.
This gorgeous little rechargeable pruner is going to save us $2,500, which is what we were quoted for trimming our low-growing desert trees and shrubs. (see pic) We don't know how long the battery charge lasts yet, but it cuts really well--and easily. We have trees that literally grow on the ground, so we have our work cut out for us! Should be a fun project with this handy-dandy whiye, chic little pruner!
I was hesitant in trying these power tools by Hart. Fearful that a tiny battery could deliver the results of the other tools out there with a cord. I was wrong! The battery is a non-issue, when I charged it up the saw revved as good as a corded saw, cut through some fire wood with ease, and lasted at least 45 minutes while I trimmed some branches in the yard. I like how small and lightweight it was, so it didn't wear me out while doing some yard work. And I actually preferred it over a corded option, it was easier to maneuver the yard and easy to clean up and put away. Two thumbs up!
Works just fine. It's not a high powered gasoline engine chainsaw, so don't expect to blow right through 8 inch log or anything
My husband has used this several times. It is very nice to be able to take it anywhere. It cuts good. Really nice when you need to cut a piece of firewood shorter. Does seem like it needs to have an oiler. Just the right size to take camping.
Had maple tree fall across my driveway. I was able to cut all the limbs which were much thicker than 6 inches with this saw!
The chain brike after cutting small branches.
