This is a great saw, highly recommend! We have an old one that plugs in. This one being battery operated is great and much more convenient. Its nice not to have to get out extension cords to use it. This hart saw also has a light which is a great feature that our old one doesn't have. It has a lock feature which is great for safety. I like the quick release blade which makes it so simple to switch between wood and metal. It cuts metal just as easy as wood, it has great power! Overall very impressed with this saw!
I was able to test this Hart 20 volt reciprocating saw to cut up my wood from my old wall and is was so nice to operate at all angles and not worry about tripping on a cord at all and it lasted a long time to complete the project without going dead, the saw had a great amount of power to cut everything with not problems at all, I would recommend this to all project goers because of the great performance I had using this saw!
I have owned several brands of power tools and this saw is heavy duty for sure. The batteries are still a bit pricy though. This is a brushless saw which is what the new stuff is now a days so they are keeping up with the other brands. I just hope to keep it looking a bit tidy with the amount of white it has it is sure to look horrible soon. I'm not too worried about it but you know, I am a woman. Looks good right now.
Hart reciprocating saw is a great tool a are all Hart tools .The Hart reciprocating saw runs on a 20 volt rechargeable battery as do all my Hart tools The Hart reciprocating saw is very efficient and has great strength for trimming trees or cutting any lumber jobs quickly and with the 20 volt battery recharging quickly it is ready when you are .We had storms this week with tree limbs falling and power outages having a battery operated tool ready with a fully charged battery the work is done fast . I used the Hart reciprocating saw to cut lumber to repair one side of a deck hit by limbs .Making quick work of the deck and trim .There is a light that really helps if you have a night or low light job to cut .With many blade sizes and types you can cut many materials no electric needed . The battery fits and stays on and recharges fast with enough power to cut most things .Easy wipe surface so it looks new after a days work of cutting .Locking trigger so no starting until you are ready to cut. Quick release blade lever flip add blade lock .Variable speed so work at your pace .Pivoting shoe follows lines well .All Hart batteries work with the Hart reciprocating saw. Great saw .Hart reciprocating saw
Surprising power for a decent priced reciprocating saw. You really get your bang for your buck with this product! It Cuts through wood and metal like butter in second cutting down the time needed on projects substantially. (*NOTE:This saw comes with only a wood blade but you can purchase the metal blades for at a decent price.) This item will cut through multiple materials such as Wood, Metal, PVC, and screws/nails.Changing the blades is super easy also. I love that this item is battery operated so I am not connected to a leash/cord. This makes taking this on the go to work, on the farm, in the yard where power is not available an option. My husband uses metal poles for work and typically has to cut them with a hand saw. This has cut the time in half making the job more enjoyable and less like work! This item did not come with a battery and charger and the combo battery charger and battery are about the same cost as the saw itself. I already have the Drill, battery and charger. Heart made their products batteries interchangeable to work with all products so the battery from the drill works perfectly in this saw (They actually note this on the box!!).. I love the light, when the saw is on it lights up the work area perfectly for those jobs that took longer than planned. It is lightweight, and there is a nice feel to the grip so it does not feel like it will slip from my hands. I have not found an issue with this product yet! Amazing new addition to my power tools!
My hubby says this saw is powerful and works really well. He has used it to cut lumber, the battery life seems good, he used it for about 4 hours yesterday, cutting pretty much nonstop during the 4 hours and it remained powerful and cut with ease. He put it on charge when he finished cutting for the day, and it still had power, he could have continued, he was just ready to quit.
HART 20-Volt Brushless Reciprocating Saw: I have been testing this product for weeks now and have very little negative feelings on its fuction. I'll start with the basics: packaging needs to be better especially when these hart tools get shipped in the manufacturers box the tool comes in, luckily nothing broken...this time. Next the instructions needs to be just a bit clearer. I got it eventually how to attach the blade but rather with common sense than using the directions. This tool does not include the battery but I had 1 from another hart tool that was the exact fit. It only takes the hart brand specific 20v battery. I Like the brighter colors vs other reciprocating saws but make sure to clean it after every use. Its very light weight and sturdily well built. I've used it cutting wood, flooring and recently sheet rock and studs for a repair in home. Its a slow go on thicker pieces of wood. I noticed it getting stuck a few times depending the angle I was cutting wood at. It may just be this tool but overall very pleased with function and looks. I think the battery can be a bit better but again the battery was not included with this saw. I'm not going to give it a full 5 stars just because of the minor cons mentioned earlier and some sticking issues when cutting. I would recommend it as its very handy. If I bought it by itself and didnt already have the battery it would bother me to have to go buy a battery separate though.
I have other Hart cordless tools either 20V or 40V. I found this saw to work best using a 40v battery. Made it a little heavy but manageable. Only rated a 4 Star as only came with a wood blade so whether the saw performs as same while cutting metal or plastics is unknown. The large blue blade injection/ejection tab was a nice touch n easy to use. My old saw had a tiny release tab n most times I had use a screw driver to insert/eject blade.
My husband loves this saw and has come to love this brand. I tis heavy duty and lets him get things done. The saw itself is easy to handle and clean. Pretty heavy duty and no issues from it. The issue we had was the blade bent when cutting through a piece of wood. So maybe the blades need to be a bit stronger. We had to cut a table in half because it was broken, too heavy and upstairs. This saw got the job done in no time. The cut is very smooth and nice as well. Another good thing about this brand is that the battery pack is rechargeable and works with other Hart tools. I highly recommend and we plan on getting a lot of use with this.
I got this cordless saw because the corded one I have and use can be a pain when I have to get out the 50' extension cord and then worry about where the cord is when I'm cutting. But, this one barely had the power to cut. I was using it initially on some bushes, which I do every spring, but it literally was getting caught up on every branch. The battery was a 40 volt and fully charged and the blade was a wood blade, brand new that came with the saw. Bottom line, I Will get the extension cord and plug in because this wasn't worth the effort. And the branches I'm talking about were centimeters thick, there is no way this would cut through a plank of wood.
