I have used it on rusted iron grills, when preparing the deck for painting, for finishing up drywall installs. It works well and the whole Hart 20v line has all the tools a new diy person will ever need.

She got it so I could sand a bench her grandpa made shortly before he passed (I never had the honor of meeting him). She wanted to stain it, so it needed sanded. I grab my Hart sander and go to town. This sander is very efficient, I am on pass three and on the same battery. At this point I look over and see my wife standing in the window, with tears. She now has a piece of furniture that her grandpa and husband worked on. Maybe not together, but both pairs of hands put labor into it. I own many Hart tools but for this memory, the sander will always be my favorite.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this sander to speed up refinishing a table. I was pleasantly surprised at the light weight and high power of this product. I have used pro grade orbital sanders before and this Hart performs just as good if not better than high end sanders.
I really looked forward to you being able to have this sander although it never would orbit so I had to return it. I will say it is light weight and would be a great addition if it would work. I would appreciate Hart sending me a replacement. Instead i had to return it first and wait for a refund to be able to repurchase. I haven't repurchased yet.
The sander is ok but the battery doesn’t hold a charge but for 10 minutes then takes 3 hours to recharge. They said they recommend the 4.0 ah battery and the fast charger but it doesn’t come with it. Going in the trash
Hart products are usually pretty good and fair for the price. However, you get your monies worth with this sander. Speed not adjustable, and most importantly the BATTERY IS HORRIBLE. Hart definitely DROPPED THE BALL on this product. A simple one hour sanding task takes days to accomplish because the battery last about 10-15 minutes (yes I used it with a brand new battery). Absolutely UNSATISFACTORY!
