This charges fast and I love that it lets you know where it is in the charging “full battery, enough battery, or low battery” with colors. It's easy to use and take off the battery pack. I love that this one battery pack can be used for a multitude of HART tools.
As far as cordless rechargable batteries go. This one has a nice design. The charger is easy to understand displaying status and also error as well as charging. You know those rechargiblr batter packs that no longer charge well but your not sure, this one would tell you. Decent size but doesn't weigh a ton. Can be removed from the charger and put in the device one handed. More important than you'd think.
I received the battery and charger with the cordless Hart grease gun. It charged quick snd held the charge to use a full tube a grease and most of another. I greased two tractors, two discs, a fertilizer spreader, a post hole digger, and a dump cart. I can't speak for how long the charge will last before it slows down but I can tell you it ran the grease gun flawlessly. I am very satisfied with the battery and charger.
My garage has eight Hart battery-operated tools that I use constantly. I have three 1.5 Ah Lithium-Ion batteries and three 1.5Ah Fast Chargers. They do a pretty decent job while I use my 3/8 Inch Drill, Rotary Tool, Orbital Jigsaw, LED Light, and Hand Vac. However, whenever I used my Hart Multi-Tool, ½ Inch Drill, or Impact Driver I need to have at least several fully charged 1.5Ah batteries on hand to finish my work. So, when I had an opportunity to review a 2.0Ah Battery and 2Amp Charger I was very curious to see if there was an actual difference in power and how long that battery lasted over the 1.5Ah. I live on six acres of land in North Florida. I have a tractor, which I use several times a week to mow grass, pick-up fallen branches and debris, and work my two-acre garden. When a tractor tire needs changing in the middle of my field I need to use my Impact Driver to loosen the bolts, change wheel and tire, and then re-tighten. I rely heavily on my Hart Impact Driver and batteries to get the job done. I used my fully charged Hart 2.0Ah battery for the first time and was impressed at the extra power it gave me and lasting stamina of the battery. I did not have to carry two 1.5Ah batteries out to the field, and got the tire and wheel changed quickly with extra 'ooomph' and longer run-time to boot. WooHoo! If you have a garage full of Hart tools, you know you can never have too many batteries and chargers to go with them all. My husband has quite the collection. The Hart 20 Volt battery works with every tool we have. It rely is great that the battery is essentially universal. The charging station is compact. So, it does not take up a lot of space. And it charges fast. That has to be the best part for me. I use the tools as much as my husband. So, fast charging is a bonus. The battery lasts for a long time. I haven't actually timed it. Still, I know I can use my drill several times over the course of two weeks without the battery needing a charge at all. But, we like to put the batteries on charge after every use. That way, there's never a chance of them dying on us when we need them most. Great product and we definitely love the Hart brand!
The nicest thing about this battery setup is that the battery is very light. There's a lot of power in there yet it's not so heavy that it makes carrying around a drill or driver a burden. You wouldn't think a few ounces here or there would matter but if you swing a driver around all day you'll notice it. I use many brands of tools and no matter the application I'll always find myself using the lighter tool with the most power I can find. I am amazed at how far tools that run on this battery technology have come in the last few years. The HART line of tools is made by TTI, the same parent company as Ridgid and Ryobi. There are some similarities in the HART battery pack design that leans towards the Ridgid line. I would like a battery power remaining indicator but prefer the lower price of the pack over that. I usually run my packs until they stop working before charging them so having an extra pack like this one on hand is great.
I got this battery and charger for using with the Hart 20v Cordless grease gun. The battery charger and battery both preformed perfect. It took about 45min. to charge the battery up from the state it was in the new sealed package. The charger fits very secured on the top of the battery and was easy to read the Red or Green LED's while it was charging and after it was charged.
HART 20-Volt Lithium-Ion 2.0Ah Battery and 2Amp Charger is a universal battery and charger for HART tools only. It is required to operate any of the HART brand of portable tools. Even though this model is only 2 Ah of capacity, it still packs a bunch of power. If you want HART portable tools, make sure the battery and charger is either included with your tool or is figured in your budget when comparing tools.
