This shank masonry drill bit set fit my Hart impact drill perfectly. The shank bits went right through the stucco on my house. I really like these.
Our back steps into our home are brick and concrete. The railings are starting to show their age and we are planning on replacing them. As I did not have any good masonry bits, I felt that the Hart 4pc Hex Shank 4-inch Masonry Drill Bit Set would work well with my 1/2” hammer drill to make the new mounting holes for the replacement railings. I tested two of these bits on a project with my 18v cordless and found that they performed very well. I had to drill holes in both concrete and brick. Pros: Four different sizes, 5/32",3/16",1/4",5/16" 4” length. Carbide tips. Good for brick, block, concrete. Works with hammer drills and impact drivers. Sizes clearly marked on shank for specific projects. Allen head style drill mount makes for easy bit changes. The Hart brand bits cut through both materials with ease, quickly and without getting hot. Bits removed material well from drill hole. Cons: None Overall, I am very pleased with the Hart brand masonry drill bits and will use them as needed. I would recommend this product to anyone. Time will tell on how long they stay sharp; I would expect that they will last quite some time. Thank you
The Hart 4 piece hex shank masonry drill bit set has the most commonly used drill bits for drilling into masonry. The set includes 5/16, 1/4, 3/16, and 5/32. They are long life carbon tipped bits good for brick, concrete blocks or concrete. They work well with hammer drills and impact drivers. They have a wide flute which helps remove drilled material from the hole drilled. I have only used two of the set but they performed well and did the job i was looking for. Drilling concrete has steps for best results and most people think you drill concrete like wood just push down on the drill and go. Concrete is a little more difficult to drill and in order to make it easier drill a pilot hole first about 1/4 inch deep with a smaller bit than required and blow out the dust and drilled material. Then put in the size needed and drill slowly at first and if drilling stops use a concrete nail and hammer to break up the rock or whatever is in the hole and blow the material out again. If you take these steps you will be more successful and your drill bits will stay sharper longer.
These drill bits are great for drilling into masonry materials. I used them with my Dewalt drill and they fit perfectly with a stable grip. I used them to drill into some heavy roofing slate that I was going to use for a decorative project and was very impressed with how smoothly they drilled holes into the slate. I included a picture to show how nicely it worked out for me. I tried all the bits in the drill and every one of them fit well. They are well made and work great.
I use masonry bit for my craft projects. I have not used this particular product yet. I hope they don't dull out as fast as previously used brand.
We got these because just in time to hang up the flag holder on the front of the house. Great fit in the drill and it did the job quick and easy. Well made and sturdy.
The Hart Masonry Drill Bit set seems to be made very well. There are four different size bits, There is a 5/32 in a 3/16 in a 1/4 inch and a 5/16 in. The tips are carbide and should last a long while. I cannot live without my cordless screwdriver and I'm always looking for these size bits to put in them. I've had quite a few that the ends have broken. This is my first time trying this brand and so far it feels very well-made compared to what I have had in the past. They will drill through cement block and brick. I have not tried to drill through the concrete with one yet. I don't doubt that it will do just fine. This masonry drill bit set works with hammer drills and impact drivers. The only reason I did not give it five stars is because of the California Proposition 65 warning on the back. It says that it can cause cancer and reproductive harm. I never like to see that on any products. Other than that, this is a good set.
I used the drill bits for hanging baskets on my back deck and to attached them to the brick. They were easy to handle when using the drill bits. I like that their self tapping and their extended bits with carbinde tips, that makes them last long and stay sharp.
They don't work like I thought they did. I read all the comments before I purchased them and they twisted on me. I was trying to put holes in concrete so I could then screw in a foot plate where you enter into one of the bedrooms of my home and it twisted on me. Piece of junk if you ask me. I should've just gone to Lowe's and picked up some real drill bits myself.
After 20 minutes of drilling into brick and making next to no progress except for melting my bits. I'm giving up and going to Home Depot
