HART 40-Volt Cordless Chainsaw with it's nice looks has the power to cut through small to medium trees like a hot knife cutting through butter. I was simply blown away by the performance of an battery operated chainsaw.Hart chainsaw comes with battery and charger. Battery is a little powerhouse and give you enough power to cut through many small to medium trees. Battery rums warm which is normal with Lithium-Ion Battery.When charging battery let battery cool down then charge it.Chain adjustment key is great and on-board storage helps.(Remember chainsaw oil does not come with kit). No big deal! If trees are fallen and you need a no gas powered chainsaw,this is the one.Well built,made to last and is one nice looking chainsaw.
This is a very nice chainsaw. When it arrived, I had my husband take it out and check what was included. It does include the battery. chain guard and the charger. You must purchase the chainsaw bar oil. Once the battery was charged fully and chain bar oil applied, it was ready to go for the initial use. The saw started immediately. There was no cord pulling. No electric cord to watch out for since it is a battery operated tool. The saw cut cleanly, was not too heavy to hold and not over loud like gas saws. It ran for over 1/2 hour from constant use and battery still was not used up or needed to be recharged. It has a lot of torque and very little kiickback. Always a good things for safety sake. It is self oiling. There are knobs for adjustments. There are clear instructions that are easy to follow. I like that you need to push one button in, along with the trigger, at the same time. Nice safety factor if you fall or it drops. I really like that the saw is white. Even though the is a cosmetic aspect, I like seeing that the saw is ready to use since I clean tools after use. I do wish it had come with an extra battery.
This chainsaw has pretty good power. I was surprised at the thickness that it can cut through. It cut this pine tree and utility pole that the electric company left in my yard after a storm. I didn't consider taking pictures for a review until I was done and was thinking how good it did.
I received my HART 40-Volt Cordless and Brushless 14-inch Chainsaw Kit. It comes with a 4.0Ah Lithium-Ion Battery. This is a big battery, so it will last a long time in between charges. I fully charged the battery using the included charger. This chainsaw has a side access area so that you can easily adjust the chain and make any needed tension adjustments or change out the chain. First impression is that it looks very nice. The battery is a little heavy (so that it can last longer), but other than that, it’s not TOO heavy. It also comes with a handy tool to make adjustments with. It does NOT come with bar oil. There is a little tank that requires bar oil which you can get most anywhere. This oil reservoir tank is used for the automatic oiler. I LOVE that feature so that you don’t have to manually oil the bar. As most know, that can be tedious. I cannot say enough good about this chainsaw. With just a push of the switch, it starts. It’s not very loud either. No gas or spark plugs ever needed. This is handy to keep anywhere. You could throw it in your tool box if you wanted. The bar is 14” long so plenty long enough for most jobs. I tried it out on few limbs from a tree and it worked seamlessly and produced smooth quick cuts! Highly recommend this to anyone that needs a saw that will work, not choke down.
This saw is AWESOME.I'm not no expert with a chainsaw in fact this was my first chainsaw that I have purchased.We had a F2 tornado come thru the area knocking over a lot of trees. I bought the saw put it on the charger over night and it got used for about 1 to 1 1/2 hours before having to recharge it(I would recommend a 2nd battery so you have one charging while using) This saw was cutting through 5 to 8 inch limbs and branches with no issues.I don't think this saw was designed to cut down 40 foot tall 10 to 20 inch diameter trees.I'm sure that someone who knows what they are doing could do it with this saw. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a small cleaning up project
I love this chainsaw. I’ve been considering purchasing one for a while but didn’t want to spend money on something I really didn’t need. However, I’m more than thrilled when I received this one.I've already used it twice to cut up a fallen tree. It’s compact, easy to set up and use and runs long enough for me to get the job done. It’s lightweight, though a bit heavier with the battery installed and not for the weak. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I seen this complaint on about every brand of electric chainsaw. It leaks bar oil out. See the pictures? The oil on floor is from 3 days. Turn the saw with cap up. It has been setting there over 2 weeks no leak. I have used it since. Moved and looked at it 3 or more times. The saw cuts really good. I suppose I get about half pickup load at time. It's tractor bucket and box on back hitch that I get full of wood. I'm cutting logged trees. So it's downed logs. You could cut a bigger stick of wood than you need to lift. I started with full charge and had 1 bar left when done. I call this my camping saw. The one I'm going to take with me. Don't have gas smell mixing with the other stuff. That oil leaking would be a major no-no. Because you'd have to have plastic box to put it in. So let's hope laying saw cap up stops that forever. I bought bag cover for saw. Saws make a dirty mess so don't want that getting on everything. I own 2 gas saws. This saw does work. Extra batteries are terrible over priced though. Oh it's not weight light, it's a real wood getter.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used it today. The provided charger is slow about 2-3 hours between sessions. The saw is easy to use. Does not kick or jerk only bound once when pushed. Audible tone and the saw just releases the trigger for ya. Pull again when ready. Not the most powerful saw. I'm no expert but I'd wager it keeps up with a 30-40 cc gas saw. When used to section a felled tree it let me mostly fill the back of a small pick up with a 6 foot bed then but it dies before I do and I'm outa shape haha.
Unable to Charge it! $200 piece of Junk. Had some trees removed. they left some smaller wood for firepit. I needed to cut up. Ordered this online and had it delivered the next morning. The terminals to the charger were bent. Was unable to charge it. Called Walmart they did not have a replacement. Had addon protection plan. to soon for it to register in the system. Couldn't help. Manufacturer had no information of transaction as it just was purchased. wait a few days. It's been a week and still no help. i logged back into chat. They said it is now in the system. I went to file my "No Hassle Claim". Tells me, contact Manufacturer. $200.00 piece of Junk. Will be the last Hart tool I purchase for my collection.
I was so excited about this because we have lots of tree limb down. Decided to order this one because I recently ordered all new HART lawn stuff so the batteries would all match… I just got a new mower, blower, weed eater, power washer, and this chainsaw. This one came in a non professional box. The bottom of the device had zero padding (at any point that this was throw around during shipping it would have landed straight on the heaviest part with only the thin box). There is obvious damage, smeared dirt, scratches, big wad of what looks like petroleum jelly where the battery goes (maybe it's supposed to be there). Anyway, with the presentation I'm afraid to use it/keep it. And the ones still in stock to re-order are more expensive. I strongly dislike needing to return anything. But I didn't pay for a refurbished. It wasn't listed as such.
