When it comes to finding the perfect storage box for even my little thing, it's hard. I have been using the hard 5-gallon storage tote and i love it. i have stuffed a lot of the small arts and crafts in here to clear space in our garage area and it's been nice. It does hold a lot of stuff and it's not heavy depending what all you have filled it with. The clasps are very durable, and I haven't had any issues with them coming off or anything like such. I would definitely recommend these. I will be getting more because they are also easy to stack.
Hart is Walmart’s house brand. So far, I’ve owned Hart power tools, hand tools, drill bit sets, tape measures, and honestly, I’ve found the quality to be kind of hit and miss; mostly good with just a few exceptions, mainly involving their power tools. These are hit, though and are very nice containers. They’re made in the USA, heavy-duty, with holes around the lid for zip ties to secure the top, and they block light which is a definite plus for food storage. That said, I don’t believe the plastic is food-grade but if you use secondary containers and don’t store the food directly in contact with the bucket, you’ll be fine. I’m using mine for storage the older bags of Wise foods that I bought from Walmart years ago when I started prepping. Bought them probably ten years ago but they’re still good; indeed, should be for at least another fifteen or so. Except for my home canned meats and dehydrated fruits/veggies, these will be the first ones I go into when the world ends. I’ve stored them so far in a large translucent plastic container with a simple snap-on lid so I was happy to be able to transfer them to a light-tight, slightly heavier container with a secure locking lid. I could use a whole stack of these. For food storage, as long as you’re keeping the food in containers not in contact with the buckets, I would just about recommend these over the 5-gallon buckets for long-term food storage (rice, beans, sugar, etc.).
We have soooo much stuff sitting around and making our apartment look smaller and more disorganized than it needs to. Having totes and shelves helps but nobody wants ugly stuff no matter how practical. During the lockdowns of the pandemic we gathered more stuff and had even fewer places to put it so it just sat around taking up space and making us hate our apartment's lack of space and overall ugliness. These storage totes are perfect for such situations! They look good, hold a lot of stuff and are easily stackable. The locking handles are perfect for keeping things in and preventing accidental spilling out of the contents if they're dropped or accidentally knocked over. The lids are recessed to make stacking easy and tight. We use these regularly and the handles haven't given out, loosened, or cracked. The colors are very nice and having white to contrast with the lid to let you know it's locked so you don't have to worry about it popping open if it falls or in transit.
These totes are very strong, sturdy and durable. I have several more and use them for our Christmas ornaments and others for my son's ball cards and other things from his younger days as a child. I like that they are made from recycled plastic and the handles are well made. They close and stack easily. The lids are also strong and won't collapse. I definitely recommend all these totes/storage bins.
This is pretty sturdy and yes heavy duty. Problem with other totes are the handles because the heavier you put in stuff the handles falls off too. Not this one tho. I got a lot in both my 5 gallon and 12 gallon and I don’t got any problems with them. Built with great quality material for the price. I would highly recommend this. It is stackable too. So I’m probably gonna buy more of these. And I want to add something about the lid as well. It is perfectly made and designed to put the bin it doesn’t even pop as I close it.
These totes are very nice. The are plastic with lids that fit secure. Great for storage of any item, and the lids have locking handles. Easy to tote around and stack them. They have pre cut security holes ,so you can padlock them. The 5 gal tote measures 17.7 w x 12.5 in. D x 9.8 in. H. The 12 gal tote measures 15.3 in. X 22.7D x 13.3 inches H. Will definitely purchase again.
This is a sturdy little storage box. It's thick all over, the top is thick as well. The clamps keep it shut tight. Nothing about it feels cheap or flimsy at all, it feels like it can stand up to being tossed in the back of a truck or scooted around often. I am currently using it to store my Hart drill and all the Hart batteries and chargers I have acquired. I really like it, I'm impressed. It's good looking as well, I love the blue and black colors. It's easy to spot the bright blue top from across the garage. I like it, I'd absolutely recommend it.
This is a nice heavy duty tote with a latching lid. The latch holds the lid on tight so you don't have to worry about things spilling out if you happen to drop it or knock it over. It appears to be tough enough to be durable for just about any kind storage. So far I have used this 5 gallon tote to hold assorted power tools, and extra bags of cat food - my cats haven't figured out how to get it open yet so that's a plus in the tote's favor. The lid fits down into the tote to make it sturdier for stacking. I plan to buy more of this size because it will be perfect for storing miscellaneous items in my basement.
This study little storage box is a great manageable size - not too bulky or heavy when full. I'm using it to store extra sheets that only get used for guests. It keeps them protected and nearly out of the way since they aren't often used. It closes tightly and is sturdy enough to stack other boxes on top. I'm very happy with this great little container.
I own many Hart products and love them all. Unfortunately, this was not quite as well made as the others. The plastic felt a bit thin and flimsy. Fortunately I had no really heavy purpose for it. I got it to use to store dog food when we travel in our camper. Works good at the house too. The handles on the sides latch the top to the bottom, which I do like. I also liked the colors and the size. The size is perfect for holding two 5 lb. bags of dog food. Like I said it's not as sturdy as I had hoped so I wouldn't want to store tools in it as they would most likely crack it with time. This has been the only thing I've received from Hart that was a little lacking, everything else has been awesome.
