I recently got into wood working as my new hobby. Someone gave me a router but had no bits. I was excited to receive these. The router bit set is very nice and the bits are strong and well made. The set comes in a nice hard plastic storage case with slots for each piece with markings of the size of the bit. The five pieces consists of ¼”, 5/16”, 3/8”, ½”, and 5/8” with ¼ inch shank. The bits have carbide edges which gives a smooth, precise finish. I love using these bits. They do a nice job.

The case displays each bit in front of a diagram showing the depth and height measurements. The base of the case also has pictures below each bit showing what the groove will look like in a small block of wood. The shanks on the bits are all ¼ inch. The maximum RPM is 30,000. These router bits are specifically designed for wood and have carbide edges for a smooth finish. The five sizes in this kit are ¼ inch, 5/16 inch, 3/8 inch, ½ inch, and 5/8 inch straight. When I first put a bit into my router, it slipped out, because I did not tighten it enough. Once I took my wrench and tightened it better, the bit worked like a charm. It took some practice to make my groove straight, but the cut went very smooth. There was no resistance or effort needed to make the cut in particleboard. Overall, this straight router bit set from HART provides me with the most common sizes needed for many projects, and I look forward to getting a lot of use out of them.

we got this 5 piece router bit set yesterday. I am so glad my husband wanted to try it on some things he had planned. He said they work really well and they are made very strong. They have different sizes in the case. The sizes in the case are 5/16 , 1/4 , 3/8 , 1/2 , 5/8, so you have a variety. Also it comes with a case so you do not loose them and you can even hang them up in your shop.
Seem to be very good quality so should last a long time. Being used in cabinet Remodel in the bathroom. My husband was glad to have them to use to get Countertop done.
