Only had this set of wrenches about a week and they already made my list of favorites. The open end plus the ratchetting end make these a great add to the toolbox! Glad to have the set!!
I usually buy whatever store branch wrenches are available - basically, I lose them so they get replaced with a good quality, but cheaper than big name brands. I have similar tools from Husky and Kobalt, and I can say that these ones from Hart match them for quality and strength, easily. But it tops them by price, and unlike any other brands I've seen, it actually comes with a place to put the wrenches after you separate them from the retail packaging, which is huge. Overall - very nice wrenches that should last a lifetime - as long as you don't lose them. Would recommend!
Feel solid and work Great. 72 click wrenches. Works well on situations where you have a long bolt, where sockets will not work. Once you have used ratchet wrenches you will wonder why you did not buy them earlier.
This really is a great set of 7 standard wrenches! Hands down the best thing about these is the ratchet action on the closed end of the open-end wrenches. They are made of high-grade steel and have a chrome plated finish. It comes with a 3/8", 7/16", 1/2", 9/16", 5/8", 11/16", and 3/4" wrenches. And also, a handy little carrying pouch for all the wrenches. Hart offers a limited lifetime warranty on these wrenches and being as they come from Walmart you know the return policy works extremely well. So far, I have used these wrenches on my 5000kw generator maintenance, and they worked perfectly. Everything fit snuggly and tight, and I was never worried about rounding the head off anything I was putting pressure on. The ratchet action makes them hard to get nuts and bolts a breeze to remove and reinstall. The pouch kept everything within arm's reach and organized so I was not looking at every wrench separately. Overall, these are a great wrench set that will easily get any job done. I really can not say enough on how much I really enjoyed using this set. I would not hesitate to purchase another set of these wrenches if the need were to arise.
On receiving this wrench set, my first impression of the wrench was good. Nice chrome finish, very sleek look, very nice wrap for the set. I decided to compare it to a brand from a local big box home improvement store. I compared the 3/4" wrenches to get an idea of how they match up. The overall length was nearly the same, with the Hart coming in at 1/16" shorter. Weight has the Hart at 8oz compared to 12oz on the other brand. Nominal thickness of the handle area was Hart .231" compared to .321". At the ratchet end, the Hart was .463 wide with the comparison at .506". And at the open end, Hart was narrower by only .002". What all this means to me is that the Hart will be easier to operate in tighter spaces, which I find to be a very important feature. The ratcheting mechanism is pretty fine at 72 teeth. I am impressed with the overall look and feel of the wrench, it is light and fairly sleek in size and configuration. Time will tell how the ratchet holds up under use without abuse. So far so good. I used one of the wrenches to help assemble a chipper, and I like the way it works.
I really like this ratcheting wrench set. It has all of the standard sizes and comes with a convenient roll up case. It is compact enough to store under the back seat of my truck. The ratcheting feature makes things so much easier.
I'm a casual user of tools. I like that these are well made and durable but don't break the bank. These are great to have in my toolbox. They have a nice weight in hand and work well for the projects I've had.
The fit and finish on these wrenches are pretty good other than a few dings and nicks that I've seen which is odd as most wrenches I buy don't have this especially a premium wrench. for me these are a little thick as thick usually stands for cheap metal so they make up for it with thickness. most of the wrenches were pretty tight on the clicking and probably need to be broken hopefully. when I think about other ratcheting wrenches that I've had such as gear wrench this was not an issue and the fit and finish was a little better on those for the price range and probably what you're getting these will last a long time.
Missing the 3/4 wrench Missing a wrench not ok
The handle broke as soon as I tried lifting it off the ground. Incredibly hard to open the sliding trays. No normal wrenches included.
