As a glass wearing handy woman I've suffered for decades with saw dust eyes using power saws. I tried goggles once and they immediately fogged. I also never took the time to see if safety glasses fit over my glasses. My glasses protected me from flying pieces, but never the dust. I happen to wear kid size glasses so I took a chance, hoping these would fit over my glasses. The width of the safety glasses is about 5", and and my glasses just fit (see pic) Adult size glasses wouldn't work for sure. These are made really well, not cheap looking and quite sturdy. I experienced no fogging!!
I received this product for free as part of the HART Tools friends and family review program. Everything stated here is true and representative of my experience. I love the protective box case. It's this sturdy cool looking box that I can easily find on my tool bench. My other safety glasses always end up getting scratched and I can never find them. The frames look like something I would pick out at the optometrist's office. When I first got them, I put them on to try them out. I actually forgot I had them on my face. They are light weight, high quality, clear and comfortable. I would highly recommend these safety glasses. Plus they come in this really cool case!
Very comfortable to wear over long durations without agitating the ears or nose. After wearing for several hours straight, it still felt like they had just been put on – no redness or irritation. Visibility is great and the lens disappears quite quickly after putting them on. This makes it easier to focus on the task at hand. They are very stylish as well. An ordinary observer would most likely not recognize them as a pair of safety glasses. These safety glasses arrived in a modern black and blue storage box that has a magnetic flap to keep it closed. A neat little accent piece to help emphasize the specialness of these glasses and store them safely away from getting damaged when not in use. These glasses are etched with a DS Z87+ safety rating. Haven't had anything make contact with them, so can't say for sure how well they hold up. But since they are rated, I assume it would be the same as any other pair of safety glasses. Construction is ridged and made up of thick solid pieces. Glasses aren't too heavy or light, more of a medium weight that matches the safety rating. So far, no noticeable scratches have accumulated on the lenses. Only drawback was the edges where the sideguards meet the front. It is pretty noticeable in the peripheral view and looking through them is a bit blurry (the sideguards). But those sideguards are really only meant for extra protection and not staring at things out of the corner of your eyes.
As soon as I saw these on IG, I knew I needed them. They are cute and stylish but still offer protection when using power tools. My husband said I should get real glasses in the same shape. Walmart shipping was fast too.
I have been looking into purchasing safety glasses. As I keep kicking up dirt & rocks when I am weed eating our yard. So, I got these. They came in a nice box. They are Very comfortable and sporty looking. Now I can protect my eyes from flying debris. The polycarbonate lenses are said to absorb 99.9% of harmful UV light while the anti-fog design minimizes moisture buildup. I don't know if they are scratch resistant, I hope they are. As I'll be using them every time I do yard work.
I have yet to receive a bad product from the latest Hart brand featured at Walmart.. I started watching a roll out of items slowly trickle in & now almost every hardware related item you can think of is offered in the Hart brand.. But these glass are very sturdy, lightweight appears to be fog free & comfortable.. I'm keeping my eye on you Hart, good stuff.. :-)
Perfect fit for work. I work with sheet metal and these are a must. I love the fit and the security i get from these. Vest part is they don't fog up. These are a must have for anyone who wants to protect their eyes while working.
While the Fords safety glasses have a kind of retro look they lack a splash of color. When I see something labeled "fashion" I think of color. All the other safety glasses that Hart tools sell have black and blue trim. Also the side shields are to small in my opinion. If I can insert a finger under or behind the side shield then it it to small to protect my eyes. They do fit well and are lightweight though.
These modern clear-frame safety glasses are a great concept but not well executed. I found that in trying to be modern, they resemble regular glasses too closely and don't provide as much protection. The frames were a bit too snug on my frame while they provided some coverage on the sides it didn't make the top or bottom parts of my eyes feel protected.
These clear-frame safety glasses came in a VERY tight case that will keep them safely stored. The size of the glasses is fine for the average-sized head, but not for folks with larger heads. I discovered that setting the glasses down on a bench made them harder to find because the frame is clear and blends in with its surroundings. The glasses part is good-sized and should do a good job of protecting one's eyes.
