the game was great but the pop-o-matic is noisier than the classic one. Also the board is different from the classic game
trouble is a game I grew up with. I always loved the popmatic action to select the number of moves you make in the game. I saw on black Friday it was going to be 4.88 an unbelievable price!! I ordered it online to pickup at store and I got an answer from Walmart they rec'vd my order and would be ready for pickup by 6pm It was ready, the same day, on the busiest shopping day ever I went on Saturday morning and picked up the game , very easy!! thank you Walmart :) for Not making me go in the store on black Friday!!!!
We ordered a couple of these for our daughters as we have big "Trouble matches" each Christmas and Thanksgiving. We were shocked to see just how cheaply they are now being made when compared with the ones we purchased a few years ago. I guess that's true with everything, but it was still disappointing. We mount our Trouble games onto a thick wooden base with rubber "feet" to make them more durable; hopefully, we will still be able to do that with this new "cheaper" version. Anyway, it was received promptly; although, at our Walmart they still need to improve their Site to Store procedures as you have to wait and wait....
This board is pathetic. Nothing on top of game board but the cheap cardboard that you play on. No covering on face of game board. Years ago there was a plastic covering game board. Now nothing put cheap cardboard. It's ridiculous. Game board comes off and very cheap made. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.
I was quite surprised to see the differences in this game to the ones I was used to. Smaller, solid hard plastic board that a piece of thin cardboard with the graphics fits over. This is not ideal because the cardboard doesn't fit in tight and can cause the pieces to fall. There are 'warp zones" on the board that I don't remember from the past. It does put a little more interest and challenge into the game. I bought this to play with my 8 year old granddaughter to teach her some of the classic games I remembered as a kid. All in all, I think I got my money's worth. We've had a lot of fin playing it.
I bought this for a 5 year old. This is not what I remembered as a child. The push dice was hard for the child to push down. Then games pieces kept falling out of the board. I needed to read the directions a few times to remember the rules. Definitely not a good game for a 5 year old.
The game it self is wonderful. The box it comes in is flimsy and opens on one side unlike most board games. If it is not taped shut the little pieces will fall out everywhere.
I was going to buy sorry for my grand kids. One of them said they love playing trouble. We opened the box and it was missing the cover on the bottom where the pegs move. It is completely black. It doesn't have a platform to show your color's home base or where you move. Everything is black. Total disappointment.
This game is incredibly cheap, even for the $5 price tag. It's a piece of plastic with a thin cardboard sheet for the board layout and little plastic pieces. It just doesn't compare to how it used to be made, but you get what you pay for.
I was unsatisfied with the quality of this board game. It is nothing like what I had as a child (and I am not that old - 26). The game is the same. It is fun. I just wish the game was just a piece of paper. I guess I should have looked on ebay for the version I had as a child.
