I purchased this barre for my 9 year-old son who takes ballet. He uses a barre in his boys ballet class and he asked me to purchase him a barre. He is very pleased with the product and uses it daily. My hsuband did not have any problems with assembly.
Very easy to assemble. This stretch barre has height adjustments that are easy to change. Very stable and well made.
This stretch barre does exactly what I had hoped it would do. It makes stretching easy and fun. It is sturdy and well made. It is a bit heavy but not so much that it can't be moved.
I found the product well designed,very good quality and stable. Not sure the name portable is well deserved. You can move it around, but it is not something you wiould want to do very often due to the weight.
I needed a sturdy and small barre to do ballet and exercises at home. I am very happy with this purchase!
As a Ballet Instructor and dancer for over 30 years, I couldn't be more impressed! I bought this for my own home practice and am now recommending it for my students! I didn't expect the floor stand to be weighted so well... no wobble what so ever - even my 9 year old can swing around on it and do pull-ups! The ordering process was very easy and quick... The box was heavier than expected (about 45 lbs) but the Walmart folks helped me load it into my truck. Assembly was simple. Absolutely Love It!
A portable barre is one that is not attached to the wall. This barre is heavy and quality made but you can still move it to other places in your house. This barre is sturdy enough for my 6 foot tall teenaged son and able to be used all the way down to my twin 7 year olds. The cost is an excellent buy. Some barres not even as well constructed cost over twice as much. It shipped quickly and we were able to put it together easily. We are very happy with the purchase.
My daughter loves this ballet barre! It is very sturdy! Pretty easy to put together too! Upon arrival one of the end caps for the base was broken. I called Health Mark and spoke with Josh. He was very nice and had the new end cap to me within the week. Great product and customer service!
Description said "portable", so I expected it to be a little lighter and easier to assemble/disassemble. The assembly is pretty permanent unless you want to spend 5-10 minutes with a screwdriver every time you take it apart and put back together. It is also really heavy, not something that you can easily carry with you around.
Although I am happy overall with this ballet barre, there are a few minor drawbacks. It is not as portable as the ad leads you to believe. It is quite heavy and bulky to move around and doesn't disassemble as easily as something being marketed as portable. I have limited space in my home and was disappointed that this was not something that could easily fold up and store in a closet out of sight when not in use. I am happy with the durability and it does serve the purpose for what I purchased it for. So if you don't have an issue with portability (or the heaviness of metal construction) and are just looking for a sturdy barre to do ballet work or stretches, then this one will suffice.
