Eats up batteries even when the scale is off. Very frustrating when you have to replace the battery so frequently--even if you hadn't used the scale. My recommendation is to get something with an on/off switch and that uses AA or AAA. I finally tossed this thing out.
I was never able to get it to even turn on at all, so I returned it the same day. Anoterh review said that battery went dead even when scale was turned off. The Walmart associate who handled my return said that sometimes the batteries go dead before they are sold.
Bought this scale about 2 months ago. It was working fine, so I didn't save the box or receipt. After it quit working, I figured I would open it up and see what is inside. (Not much). But it was soon obvious why it quit working. Two wires were incorrectly routed and ended up squeezed to the point that one of them broke. It was between a plastic rib in the bottom that touched the underside of the top piece. Each time we stepped on it, that spot would get pinched and eventually the wire broke. I soldered the wire back together and it is now working again. (also taped the wires down so they don't get pinched again). It is cheap.
The scale was suppose to have a 350 pound accurate weight limit, but the box said 330. Either the write up on the scale is wrong or Walmart swithed products. The model number on the box did not match what I ordered. It was close but not the same. Stood on this scale 10 consecutive times and received 10 different readings. Went to my kitchen had lunch and a beer, tried the scale again and lost 5 pounds. Think this piece of junk is going back.
My friend and I have tried many time and we even read the mean but it always show "ERROR". IT JUST DON'T WORK!!!
