Usually the item looks better in the photo ...But this birdhouse looked great in person. My only complaint is that the depth of the rooms is only 4". By cutting a few 2" wide strips of Cedar And attaching them under the entry hole boards... I was able to increase the depth to 6". Also had to slightly shim up the roof to clear and extend the room dividers. Total modification cost was $17.00 . It should have come this way from the manufacturer. Now let's see if the birds like it as much as I do.
It's beautiful and well made. Best of all, no complicated instructions for assembly. As soon as we put it up We had martins on top of it. Our females haven't arrived yet, but we're sure they'll approve. Arrived on time and well packaged.
This bird house is large, heavy, and sturdy! It is built well and oh so pretty!
Love the bird apartment. We mounted it on a ten ft tree stump. Looks great.
The Martin house I received, was even better than it appeared on the website. I was truly satisfied.
The description states one must remove TWO screws on the side to clean. The sides have very small hex screws, eleven total. The side panel is then slipped behind a "soffit" that is stapled. Cannot clean this way. One must remove all the phillip screws (eight on each side) in the roof. This is OK, but the instructions were misleading. The plastic base does not look very study.We will NOT use the plastic base as we will fabricate our own. Overall, the house is very nice, just a few issues which would not prevent me from purchasing again.
