I love using Hefty Slider Freezer Bag with Zipper Lock 1 Quart Capacity, Clear (Pack of 50). The tough, clear plastic bags provide protection while the large, write on label makes identifying the contents quick and easy. I think the label makes identifying foods much easier when planning meals and the Hefty Slider Freezer bags are stronger and stay closed. No need to pinch or line up tracks to close. I have recommended these bags to my friends and family and will continue to purchase Hefty Slider Freezer Bags going forward.
We are a family of two so these bags are my go to for economical and reliable food portioning and storage, both short and long term in the fridge and freezer. They are the perfect size for the portions for a two person meal, like 2 large chicken breasts, 2 steaks or up to 1 1/2 lbs of ground beef. I love these because I can easily close them with wet hands or even one hand. I also love to freeze meat in liquid marinade so it flavors as it thaws, and these bags never leak in my fridge or on the countertop. Even my easily frustrated child can seal in the freshness on cheese and meats, etc. adequately so there is no food waste due to bags not being sealed correctly. They are thick, reliable and worry free. Love the value pack quantity and price, worth every penny.
Hefty has a long time, great reputation as a strong bag manufacturer. These freezer bags are no exception. The two best points about their quart size freezer bags are 1. the seal of the bag and 2. the white space on the bag. The seal is a slider seal that is very tight. It held water while I held the bag upside down. Great for keeping liquid or solid contents in the bag. And, if you have ever used a freezer bag that did not have the white space to write on, you will understand how important this is. Because you will forget when you put the contents in the freezer and possibly what you put in it.
These clear freezer bags are so useful! They are strong and sturdy, and the zipper lock works perfectly ensuring that my food stays fresh. These bags can be used for multiple uses as well. These bags are perfect for road trips, traveling and separating out makeup and toiletries, in the classroom for manipulatives and supplies (I’m a teacher), and for storing vegetables in the freezer that I’ve chopped and prepared beforehand. I especially like how durable they are, and how I can use them confidently without worrying about the contents spilling everywhere. These make everyday tasks convenient, and a Sharpie marker labeling what the contents are makes it even easier to use these in a helpful, systematic manner!
I was given this product for my honest rating and review. I was sent a box of Hefty slider freezer bags with super lock in the 1 quart size (PACK OF 50). The product arrived with no damage. The freezer bags are 35% thicker so it prevents freezer burn, and keeps good tasting fresh. These bags are easy to use and work great for freezing anything from meats to fruit. I am happy about this product and do recommend it rate it 5 out 5.
Okay, I think it is a matter of opinion on which is better...the slide close or the zipper close. I am definitely in the "slide close" camp. I can't tell you how many times I have thought I closed the zip on a plastic bag when low and behold everything falls out. Surprise! Not! When you slide these bags closed you can see AND know that the bag is closed!:). There is a small catch in the zipper when it is closed so the zip doesn't just arbitrarily open on its own .LOL. The Hefty Slider Freezer Bag with Zipper Lock is an awesome product. I have the 1 qt pack of 50 which is great for leftovers, and storing fruits in the freezer. I like to put all the frozen ingredients for smoothies in the bags and then my 9yo son can just pull one out, add liquid, and voila! No mess, no fuss smoothie!:). The bags have a white strip for writing the ingredients or contents on the bag. Hefty has a great product that costs less than the other name brand freezer bag...so I always say buy cheaper if the quality is the same. Who wants to waste money? I definitely recommend the Hefty Slider Freezer Bag with Zipper Lock.
I was very impressed with these zipper seal bags. Previously only knowing Hefty as a trash bag company I was surprised to see that they make zipper bags. These are quart size bags and they have a slider that you use to close the zipper seal. They held up really well and did not break under the weight of food or even liquids (marinade). I was very pleased and would definitely purchase these bags in the future.
I like to buy organic vegetables one sale and freeze them if I can't use them all before they go bad. These 1 quart Hefty Slider Freezer Bags are so easy to work with and the zipper lock is an added bonus feature. The zipper lock assures you that you will get a perfect zip and lock every time. There is also an area on the bag that you can write the food item and date with permanent marker so that you can easily know the difference between tomato sauce and frozen red peppers without opening the bags. I have used the heck out of these over the holidays and they have really helped make my kitchen duties easier and because I can save a lot of foods that might otherwise be wasted by freezing them will save me money in the long run!
I use these for my beef jerky recipes!
Half of the box is missing the grey thing at the top that slides to close the bag. Really poor quality control with this box.
