John Wayne, great as always.

My husband has watched this movie countless times on VHS. In fact it lived in the trailer, now with the new trailer TV not having VHS, this ment carrying another VHS playable TV; so getting him this for Fathers Day was perfect!! and can't beat the price: less than $10.

Based on the life of Red Adair

The thing about John Wayne is he wanted good family pictures. Something the whole family can watch, which is not true today. John Wayne is Chance Buckman who has one of the most dangerous jobs imaginable. He puts out oil fires. His job takes him all over the world and put his life at risk. I would recommend this movie.

Great Movie, Terrible DVD

The movie is awesome, has John Wayne made any bad movies? The quality of this disk is not good. The sound drops out quite often, the picture freezes for a second or 2 every once in awhile. The worst part is the picture is tiny. Sure it's wide screen but it doesn't fill the screen, in fact the black screen around the picture takes up more space than the actual picture. Maybe about 40% of the screen is used by the movie. I tried to zoom in and change the aspect ratio and everything else I could think of to make the movie bigger and fill up more of the screen, nothing worked. I love this movie and haven't seen it in a long but if I had known it was going to be this crappy I wouldn't have bought it. I'm highly disappointed with this DVD.
