I enjoyed using this hello hobby chalk paint! I decided to chalk paint and distress a few small things and I'm really happy with the outcome. My project required a couple coats and I wanted the first paint to show through a bit. The white wax seems more creamy off white to me than white, but once dried it's whiter. With the white wax all you need is a coat! If you are painting first and distressing as I was then a few coats of the paint and a coat of the white wax was good but I think it just depends on your preference of how you want your project to look finished. The white chalk paint dries with a really nice flat finish. The clear wax gives it a nice finish. I felt like this paint went a long way for the size. I was able to complete multiple small projects and still have some remaining. The paint was easy to apply and coverage was good. The white wax seems a little thin but the coverage is good. I recommend hello hobby chalk paint 100%

I love the looks that adding this wax for chalk paint gives. I was able to apply it in different amounts to create different looks. It's really easy to apply and sand the wax down to make that perfect rustic look every one is going for these days. I really like that it is basically fool proof. You can't really mess it up. It will go on any color chalk paint you have. This provides a great finishing touch to your chalk paint projects.
I've used this paint in the past and it's a good price for the amount of paint you get. I figure I'd try out the wax and try it instead of the other stuff everyone uses. The fact that it's water based and non toxic is perfect for the kids also. I almost have the whole rainbow and the wax is going to be excited to try out.
I got this paint and painted a dresser I had to do two coats but it turned out really good I will definitely be by anymore and I highly recommend buying this paint

You have to follow the directors or you will not get the chalk effect. I use it for crafting. I have an online store and love crafting. And I think this chalk paint works just fine. It dries kinds of fast. But I do apply 2 coats on most stuff. It comes in a much larger container. The project I just did was a wooden round sign with a clients last name. The background was done on this chalk white and I added other fun things and names to finish it up. It's been a big hit.
This also came with a container of gray chalk paint. Each of these items was a terrible pain to open. There was no mess free way to grip the sealed inner packaging. I had to use something to poke them open each time. It created a mess from the start. The instructions as to how many coats of the gray paint were unclear. Drying time was listed as 2 hours in between coats. For the matte wax drying time was 24 hours. This was so not worth all the clean up that followed.
This is not really chalk paint. It does not self level or cover like chalk paint at all and smelly funny.
