I got this kit because I want to learn to quilt in my spare time and possibly even teach my children. This kit comes with a guide with a few projects that you can follow along and do/make on your own with tips and terms that are often used in the quilting world. It has several needles a white fabric pencil, stick pins, quilting ruler, and a rotary cutter. I love the book with all the terms and tips in it. I am currently just reading threw the book and deciding on which project I want to try out and just getting familiar with everything and the terms. I am very excited to start my project. Everything looks well made and durable and so far works like it should without any issues
The Hello Hobby Quilting Starter Kit is perfect for someone who doesn't know where to start when it comes to quilting. I got this to start quilting at a beginner level and it's been going well so far. I've been using YouTube videos to see how to use the tools in the kit and am excited to start my project this upcoming December. It's a great hobby to have And the tools are simple and sturdy so far.
I used my Hello Hobby quilting kit for making a wooly tree. The rotary cutter and acrylic ruler are useful in many crafts. I use them in wreath making, quilting and this week to make a wooly tree. The rotary cutter cuts slick clean lines. It is a great starter kit. It has a easy to follow quilters design book included.

I've dabbled into sewing doll dresses and pajamas earlier in my life so I have a little background in sewing. I've always been fascinated with the quilts I've seen and especially from the auction items other moms made when my kids where in school. It looks fun and very personal at the same time. This kit reignites my interest and I'm excited to dive into a new craft to learn and express my creativity. The starter kit has the basic tools you need along with easy to follow steps and some helpful hints to keep things easier for beginners like me. Other items that you'll need to get are cutting mat or a cardboard thick enough for your sewing project, most importantly, your sewing machine and it's accessories. I can't wait to head over to Joann's and shop for my fabrics. Once I get the hang of it, I'd like my next project to be about pieces of my kids small clothes and turn into a wall decor as a keepsake of their childhood.

The kit seems to have everything I need to start this adventure project of a quilt for my son. It was inexpensive compared to other kits
The Hello Hobby Quilting Starter Kit is a multi-piece kit that includes most of the necessities needed to start a quilt project. I like that for a novice such as myself, this kit provides a how-to book full of project ideas as well as the tools to get it done. Quilting will be a new challenge for me, but I feel confident in taking on a new project with the included tools. Pins, needles, measuring tool and cutter are some of the most used pieces so far.
I haven't read the book yet, but I appreciate that it came with it. The rotary cutter is not very sharp. I hope I can use it with other blades.
~ This kit certainly has most of the basic sewing and/or quilting supplies. ~ The enclosed booklet has several simple patterns, instructions, tips, and terminology explained. ~ The clear container of quilters needles is very handy to have on hand. ~ The clear acrylic quilters ruler is marked well with dark blue measurements. ~ I found the 93 piece description a bit misleading because who actually counts straight pins? ~ The Rotary Cutter felt awkward and too small to get a real grip on it. ~ While there is a thumb slide to engage a safety feature for the exposed blade, it's just to thin and flimsy to actually be safe. ~ PERSONAL TIP; You'll find it easier to use the same brand when using measured supplies. Remember to buy a cutting mat before you use your rotary cutter. Otherwise you will be cutting your table top too.
