The wood handles are very easy to handle. The steel is of excellent quality, and I love the self Sharpening Block. The finish on the block is pleasing to the eye. Plus the steak knives are also very useful!
Excellent set of knives in an attractive block. As others have indicated in their reviews, the block is extraordinary Long. I suggest cutting 4 inches off the end of the block to gain back counter space!

It matches my kitchen decor perfect. My family is so excited that I have good knives in the house finally. They are worth every penny.
Love the knifes set. Only thing is the steak knives have some discoloration on the handle. I thought washing them, but still there. Other than that I really like them.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a Pastry Chef and prefer high quality knifes. This set with the block are spectacular. The weight of each knife is heavy and feels great upon usage. I especially like that this block comes with self sharpening blades in each slot. With this added feature, I rarely need my whetstone. I wouldn't suggest these for children as they are fairly sharp. My only harp is the angle of the knife block. It's fairy deep from block to end of knife and if you have short counters and toddlers; they may be able to reach the knives due to this particular design. My toddler is 2.5 years and although my counters are 25” deep these knifes (in the block) are literally 5” from the edge where he can reach if he tried or at least climbed onto a one-step stool.

I like the idea of having the sharpening stones built into the block. There were some comments about rust spots. The instructions recommend hand washing and against storing them in the block while wet. This may be the reason some folks have experienced rust spots. Overall a nice set.

Only complaint is that the tip of the bread knife was slightly deformed straight out of the package, and the pommel of a couple of the other knives had extremely slight dents. But with those negatives out of the way, pretty sharp for a factory edge, and of course self sharpening built in is a huge plus that offsets that quite a bit. Also I cannot describe how good and solid, yet well balanced the knives feel in the hand, amazing set.

Pros: Beautiful set, very sharp Cons: Three of the knives arrived with small rust spots. Unfortunately, there is no quality control that inspects the set before it is packaged. Very disappointing for a brand that is supposed to sell quality products.
We were moving homes so I wasn't able to return them on time. They are NOT the set displayed on the image. Also, the blades are dull for being a new set. Very disappointing.
