I am so used to using Organic shampoos and conditioners, and I have never used a dry shampoo before. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised how my hair looked better then when its been freshly washed. If I were to buy a dry shampoo, it would definitely be the Naked dry shampoo (This review was collected as part of a promotion.)
I love a good dry shampoo to get you through that last day before you wash your hair !!! And this one takes the cake !!! I have never ever found a dry shampoo that does its job until now! Trying herbal essences dry shampoo from the naked moisture collection has loved my hair as much as i love it! There is no grease or residue left over after spraying your hair like there is wit most other dry shampoos.. No harsh chemicals or nasty stuff used in this product & the smell is amazing! It keeps my hair fresh & full of shine as if i washed it that day but my little secret in between washes is my dry shampoo from herbal essences naked collection!! Absolutely in love! I've never really tried dry shampoo's before so I was a little hesitant that it would actually make any difference, but I was wrong! I usually wash my hair everyday, if not my hair gets greasy fast. I left a day in between washings and instead I applied the dry shampoo spraying at the roots and combed through as it suggested and I found it really gave my hair extra bounce and volume and it just looked and smelled great again. It didn't leave my hair wet or with an added residue which I was concerned about at first. It's just a great product if you're looking to make your hair stay fresh and clean for the days in between washes and it's very easy to use. Just a few shakes of the bottle, spray and comb and it's done! I've always loved Herbal Essence products and this is a great addition to their line! The photo on the left shows my hair before applying the Naked Dry Shampoo, and the picture on the right is 5 minutes after application. I found a big difference in the way my hair felt and looked. I'm normally extremely skeptical when it comes to dry shampoos. I've never really cared for them, I found they left my hair looking like if gotten into a fight with my daughters baby powder. Happily not the case for this one! When I'm going to try a dry shampoos, the main thing I want to know is, will it be a mess? I've tried a lot of dry shampoos, main problem... Baby powder head! I was so happy that when I tried this one I wasn't surrounded by a cloud of white powder, that made my bathroom look like a dusty mess. The formula doesn't fly around, stays where you sprayc and doesn't leave a bunch of fall out on your shoulders. I was shocked at how well it stayed where it needed to be. Another thought that runs through my mind... Will it leave my hair feeling dry and gross? No. Obviously as with any dry shampoo, your hair isn't going to feel like you just jumped out of the shower all refreshed and ready. It isn't made to do that. I am a hairdresser, so I have tried many of the salon professional dry shampoos. I recommend this one over them all! Perhaps it is the tapioca that makes it so effective. It absorbs the oil and adds volume when I spray it on my scalp and the roots of my hair. Smells great and refreshes my style as well. All for less than half the cost!!
I wash my hair every other day. And usually I style my hair into pony tail or bun especially on the days that I don't wash my hair. It's easiest hairstyle at the same time my greasy hair is less noticeable. Glad I discover the Herbal Essence Naked Dry Shampoo I got for free through BzzAgent, I can now free my hair from tight bands without worrying that my hair looks greasy, lifeless and [yeah] smells awful. Although the smell of this dry shampoo is overwhelming but at least it overpowers the unpleasant smell of unwash hair. As you can see in my picture below, you can see the transition of my hair, from lifeless to vavavoom volume. And to get the best result it is good to brush your hair after applying dry shampoo to evenly distribute it. The best thing about this product is that it has no paraben, dye and silicone. I've finally tried the Herbal Essences Naked Collection dry shampoo. I have to say it worked very well. To check how well it works I didn't wash my hair for full 5 days and then tried it on. It was a bit hard to brush out, left a slight white shine, but it did make my day cleaner and that feeling/look lasted for another 2 days. Did I say it smells amazing? My favourite thing about this dry shampoo was the smell! It left my hair feeling super refreshed and clean-- although I was also a little bit concerned that my hair may smell like I washed it with mouthwash... I asked my boyfriend a couple hours after using it whether he could smell the mint, and he couldn't. So if you're worried about the smell, it doesn't last too long. I found that this dry shampoo works best to just add a bit of volume or texture to recently cleaned hair, or if it's only slightly greasy because it did not absorb as well as I would have liked. I definitely appreciate that the formulation is Paraben and colourant free though! If you just need something that will help you skip one day of washing then this product is great! After only two uses, my third use was a total dud. To my displeasure, this dry shampoo no longer came out in a nice spray. Instead, heaping gops fell out of the end and all over my sink area and onto my clothes. The globs even managed to get into my eye because it was no longer the mist it was before.
