I received this product today and i am looking forward to trying it out with my children. The directions seem pretty simple to use and smells great so i am hoping it wont be a hassle to get them to take it when needed
I received the Children's Throat Syrup by Herbion Naturals as part of being a member in the Walmart Spark Reviewer program. This came at the perfect time because my son was getting over bronchitis and had finished his prescriptions already but still having a little coughing going on. I wasn't sure if this was going to work since he had been coughing only and he wasn't complaining of a sore throat but he's 5 so I decided to give it a go. This actually completely took his coughing away and he commented how good it tasted as well, so I had no issues getting him to take it. So a little about this product: This is not a medicine, it is a herbal supplement that soothes sore throats, promotes healthy bronchial passages + lung function. This optimizes the immune system and contains honey + cherry flavor. Also, this is gluten, alcohol and dairy free + vegan. Children 13 months to age 12 and above can take this. This is a non-sedative. This can be found at Walmart for around $10-11.
I received this Herbion All Natural Throat syrup for children to try and it couldn't have come at a better time. The end of winter-early spring seems to be the time that our family picks up more colds or has sore throats from the start of allergy season so it was nice having this on hand. It helped to soothe the throat without having all the concerns as some other meds. My kids liked the natural cherry flavor. I also like that is says it promotes healthy lung function and naturally optimizes the immune system. I would definitely recommend this to others.

I received the Herbion Naturals Throat Syrup - All Natural - Cherry - For Children - 5 oz through the Spark Program. I was first skeptical about this product because its suppose to be "all natural" thinking it would not work. My 2 girls have been have coughing fits for the past week and I don't like to give medicine unless I absolute have too. Well, this arrived and I said I was going to try it on them. The youngest loves Cherry and if something tastes weird or not cherry like, she its doing to take it. Well, I gave to both of the girl and neither one said it tasted bad. They said it tasted well. Within the hour, the coughing had almost completely stopped or stopped all together. It seems to work. So I give a thumbs up. The only thing I do not like about it is the bottle. Its made out of glass. Heavy Glass.... Can easily shatter if dropper.

The flavor reminds me of a black licorice type flavor. Some of my children like the flavor and others can not stand it. Depends on your child's taste preferences if they will like the flavor or not. Syrup has dosages for ages 13 months - 12 years of age. Dosage instructions are on the side of the box. The syrup is a dark liquid but with a very sticky texture. Works well for a natural healthy supplement for keeping little ones healthy and soothing sore throats.
Overall, I am pretty happy with the Herbion naturals throat syrup for children. It comes in a 5 fl. oz. bottle which is a great, standard size and seems to last quite a while. The cherry flavor also has honey in it and is supposed to have a pleasant taste. It is tolerable for my kids, although I can tell it's not one of their favorites. It seemed to be a good thickness that they were easily able to drink, since it wasn't too thick like some syrups can be. I like that it's a natural and effective medicine, and can be used for children as young as 13 months. I don't know that it works more effectively than a traditional cough syrup, but it seemed to do what it was supposed to and helped soothe their throats. I like that it is alcohol free, non-sedative, nut free and sugar free. It helps to soothe throats and is supposed to work pretty quickly, although I didn't think it works faster than any other product we've used. It promotes healthy lung function and naturally optimizes immune systems. I would recommend this product to anyone looking for a natural, alcohol free and sugar free throat syrup for children.

Well when I opened Herbion Naturals Throat Syrup the top measuring cap was cracked so I wasn't able to use it. Once I found a spare one I was ready to give a try for my Lil ones because they both had a pretty ugly cough. It is an all natural product that is cherry flavored. My daughter did not find it to be cherry flavored and spit it out rather quickly. It seemed to be watery. It is a throat syrup so I was under the impression that it would be a lot more thicker.. It is a herbal formula and alcohol free non sedative. I didn't see much of a difference in her cough and I used as it is said to do so on box.
