I was feeling a tickle in my throat and used it for the next 3 days. The tickle is gone! It has a minty aroma and light herbal flavor. I like that I understand the ingredients list. I feel better knowing it uses natural ingredients. It is a good immune booster. It has dosage instructions for adults and children.

This is a natural, multi-benefit throat syrup you might want to have handy during the cold and flu season. It's supposed to soothe the throat, promote healthy lung and bronchial function and help the immune system. If you know and believe that a lot of natural remedies actually work on easing some early stage cold symptoms, then you will like this product. It contains natural extracts of borage, marshmallow, liquorice, hyssop and sweet violet, sweetened with stevia (and sorbitol). The flavour is indeed herbal, you can feel the clove oil and peppermint and kids might not appreciate it but I am ok with the flavour, considering the benefits stated by the company.
This review is for the Herbion Naturals Sugar Free Throat Syrup, 5 Fl Oz. This stuff is great. The main reason I got it was because it promotes healthy king function. The fact that this was also alcohol free and sugar free using stevia was the second reason I got this. It also soothes throat and naturally optimizes your immune system which are all pluses. I also like that adults and kids can use this so you do not have to buy separate products for everyone. I also like that it is natural. It does not taste bad either. Not the best but it is not gross either. My husband liked the taste more than I did and my 11 yr old son liked it more than I did too but it is not anything that would stop me from using this product. The instructions just say that you should shake it well before using and gives you the dosing instructions for infants up to adults. This product is definitely something I would keep on hand when needed. It does contain a few calories and a few carbs for anyone who wants to know that information but that doesn't bother us. As it has not been long enough to know how well it promotes healthy lung function, it can't hurt either but it definitely does soothe your throat. I've been sick these last 3 days and this has helped me alot.
I was having this bout of dry cough and a little pain in the throat I wanted to take something natural or herbal and this syrup gave me relief. I felt my throat was soothed by it and relief from the cough. This is a nice alternative for other chemical medicine
Alcohol free, sugar free (made with stevia) all natural and non sedative. Adults and children, can use. Follow the dosing Instructions, on the label. This tastes way better than other throat medications. It works great to soothe throat and cough.
I have never tried a “throat syrup” but do not particularly like cough syrup or really any medicine that is liquid. It is usually the yucky taste (and I think I was scarred during childhood with icky medicine). This smelled heavily non medicinal; more herbal. It did not taste good, however. But my cold is nearly over and my nose is unplugged so I can taste. I bet if I had received this at the height of my cold the taste would have been even more soothing on my throat (when my nose was all plugged up). I like that it is not a sedative so I can take it during the daytime (or at night as well). It is also alcohol free. I very much like the ingredients and their healthful benefits.
First off I am happy this is sugar free as I am pre-diabetic and it's all natural plus alcohol free. It says it's for both kids and adults. It helps to boost immune system, promotes healthy bronchial passages and lung function and of course soothe throat which is why I chose it. The taste is very strong, somewhat hard to described. It's got an earthy, Minty, licoricee flavor, very much more on the licorice flavor. It may not be for everyone, I was okay with it. I definitely don't think the kids would like it. Now I honestly did not have a sore throat when I got this so I can attest to how well it works, I will have to come back down the road and update this when I do know.
Well, I can say that Herbion throat syrup is definitely natural. It is made up of a good bit of natural herbs that is supposed to help your throat from hurting. When taken, I can taste the clove oil and peppermint more so than anything. It is sugar free, but not without the replacement of Stevia as a sweetener. Thankfully it is alcohol free and it will soothe the throat. It is said to help with promoting healthy lung function and bronchial passages. It can even be used for children as young as six months it says, as it is used three to four times a day. Lots of other kinds of natural things are in this throat syrup, but the main are the clove and peppermint. It tastes pretty bitter, but it is not so sweet that it tastes like candy, because it is a more natural product. I have never tried this before now but I would buy it again and I would suggest using for anyone who is looking for a more natural alternative to soothing their sore throat.
These bottles expire in 5 months, there is no way we could use up cough syrup that quickly. Why aren't we getting ones that have at least 1 yr until expiration, disappointed, we will have to return.
