These pants are better than the cats pajamas. I could wear them all the time unless it's warm out!!! They have a lot of stretch for comfort and the fleece inside is not baggy. The ankles in the pants are a little baggy but I'm assuming if I was wearing hiking boots with them they would be perfect.
They really look good on. My wife who was skeptical at first really likes the way they look on me. So do I. Temp here has been in the 30's I wear the First Ascent pants and don't need long johns! The look really cool with the Eddie Bauer Cirrus Lite jacket. Lots of compliments.
I purchased these pants in black for my husband and they look great! They are very comfortable to wear at home, on walks/hikes, or just anywhere. The fleece lining keeps you warm but does not overheat. After reading some reviews that the pants ran a bit small I ordered one size up, and it is a perfect fit.
I really like these pants. Of first importance is that they are quite warm (as they should be.) Unlike most other lined pants I have owned, they don't have "elephant" legs. They really have an active profile just like the regular Guide Pro pants that I own. That's what makes these outstanding.
Great fit! Form fitting, yet comfortable range of motion with stretch. Light weight yet warm into sub-zero temperatures. Wind and moisture resistant. Even with the stretch, the pants retain their shape through the day. Really appreciate the 7 belt loops; Helps keep the pants in place through activity. Great for hiking and leisure in cold weather. My favorite lined pants!
These are my favorite pants during the cold season, I have all three colors! The pants have a cut that are excellent for maneuverability and foremost, comfortability. I am a big outdoors men and I frequent Yosemite every year. I own a few other items from companies, such as Marmot and The North Face but I have to tell you, Eddie Bauer is top quality and been in the business for decades. I am not sure everyone knows, but Eddie's clothes are guaranteed for life! So no other companies come close to the value and quality of Eddie Bauer products!
I got these for my husband who does many outside sports during the winter. We also hike with our dogs just about everyday. He loves them & lived in them all winter long, because they are "so comfortable & warm". I had to buy more pairs for him. It's nice that they are available in different colors! They wash up well. They are pricey, (but worth it) I waited for a sale! Unfortunately, I couldn't get myself any on sale until this year! Now I have some too. We went 4-wheeling yesterday, I was warm too!
Bought as Christmas gift for boyfriend, and he loves them! Has a pair of the lined 5 pocket chino pants, which he basically lives in during colder months, so wanted to get him another pair. He thinks these are much more comfortable and lighter. Says they feel like he's wearing pajama pants all day.
I need lined pants for playing golf in the winter months, and I prefer that they have cargo pockets. These fit the bill nicely, because the fabric offers good wind and dampness protection (never had them in a rain storm), while being pretty light-weight for a lined pant. Very comfortable. The cargo pockets are sort of weird, in that my phone and wallet feel and look especially bulky. But other than that, I'm very satisfied.
I bought my first pair in Burlington Vermont and everything was right. I liked then so much that I ordered another pair through the website to have them delivered at home after Christmas. The Burlinton pair was perfectly sewn and had only one "garment inspector" sticker affixed on the inside tag. My second pair had at least four garment inspector tags, had some stitching at the waist obviously redone (cut threads were not removed and were sewn over) and the fleece lining was not falling in place correctly in one of the legs. That made me sad but didn't return them because they're basically ok and I am not usually a finicky cat. Let's say I was expecting more quality from the Ascent brand.
