The Delta Ray is a nice brushed motor plane that is a tough and forgiving trainer. Forget wheels if you fly off a grass field. It flies faster without wheels. After a few years, it lacked spunk, so I replaced its motors. It was easy to do. It flew like new. This convinced me to move its control linkages to their most aggressive positions. It is now a bit twitchy for a trainer, but it rolls nicely. It is a nice delta wing trainer that is: 1) Not just another high wing trainer, 2) Has a panic button that really works, 3) Lets you practice landings without worrying about damaging landing gear, and its controls can be adjusted to do more than just loops and figure eights when you are ready for more.
These motors do not provide sufficient power for the Delta Ray. If you are low budget and low experience, they are fine. However I would recommend brushless replacements. I will have an update on which brushless to get as soon as I know . . .
