[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Personal Portable Ultrasonic Cool Mist Humidifier by HoMedics produces a refreshing cool mist into the air. It is compact and easy for me to take along when I travel. The system is lightweight and quiet. The water chamber holds about 21 ounces, which is almost 3 cups of liquid. This system is designed to work with a wick that is included. Simply soak the wick for 5 minutes prior to your first use or new wick replacement and you are ready to go. I noticed that the wick needs to be wet in order to produce a good amount of mist. This system uses a 120V AC Adapter and will run about 10 hours when full. I like that the only light that comes from this humidifier is the power button, to show you when it is in use. I find that it omits the perfect amount of mist for my preference. The directions are easy to follow and the system is easy to operate. I have been using it every night and really like it. It makes it easy to fall asleep as there is barely any sound. If you are in need of a portable lightweight humidifier I recommend the Personal Portable Ultrasonic Cold Mist Humidifier by HoMedics.

Ironically I was in search of one for my daughter that was not to big or complicated. Truly it is small and very portable. However it does its job of adding moisture to a room with ease.Highly recommended by this mother of five.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you are looking for a compact, travel humidifier, this one is perfect. I take this on every trip I go on. Compact and works up to 10 hours. It's also very quiet. This also is great for when your baby is congested. You can see the mist coming out. Highly recommend this. I am going to buy this for Christmas presents this year.
I tried using this humidifier for my son when he had a cold, but he sleeps 12 hours a night and the humidifier only has capacity for 10 hours. It is quiet and so that is good, and it doesn't take up much space in his small room so that was good. But I had to get up early to shut it off in the morning.
The packages itself look great, but very simple and cheap, the most is too fine and no that helpful on dry heated area even for a individual use. The mist is just too fine evaporates before it even comes out. Save your money all homedic ultrafine mist it's waste of money, not powerful enough to hydrate or moist the air.
The reviews were very mixed so decided to order this personal humidifier and find out for myself. I ordered 2 for an up coming ski trip. Wanted something that was small and easy to pack. It is small, but I had issues with both units. The first one that I set up only worked for a few minutes then stopped. I tried to restart it several times but would not stay on. The second unit I setup worked from the start. I was so excited that I decided that I might not return both of them after all. Setup the working unit to set on my night stand. The unit worked all night but my nightstand had water all around the humidifier. No way to adjust the amount of mist. Had bright blue on/off button which is annoying. I will be returning both humidifiers.
I bought this in preparation for the dry heat in an NYC apartment. The blue light is on and I can see a tiny spitting mist coming out. I moved it to look at the back then more mist began coming out. Then stopped again. It has a personality of its own and while it isn’t super expensive, it is money wasted. So disappointed.
Purchased, thought it was great first couple of nights but now it will do nothing. Light is on but no mist.
This worked great for about 4 hours and then once I turned it off, it never worked again. I am very disappointed because I really need a humidifier for my office. This one was the perfect size for the desk top, but not much use if it doesn't work.
