Living in South Louisiana is a blessing when it comes to having fresh seafood. It also means that your home will often smell like a Seafood Restaurant. Well I put the HoMedics Air Purifier on the other day when I was cooking our favorite fried seafood dishes and my home did not smell like a restaurant at all. You really could not even tell that I had cooked anything. I put some scented oil on the pads they provide but for me I really can not say that I smell the scent very well but that is ok with me, maybe I just didn't put enough on the pad. The HoMedics Total Clean,UV-C, 5-in-1 Tower True HEPA Air Purifier helps you to breathe easier. It is a 360-degree, HEPA filtration system which effectively reduces airborne allergens as small as 0.3 microns. The Toatl Clean UV-C purifier features a built-in activated carbon filter which reduces odors and (volatile organic compounds), VOCs while the pre-filter captures large particles. The purifier changes the air every 12 minutes in a 170 sq. ft. room. HoMedics designed the purifier to be easy to use. It has adjustable settings: a built-in timer which is conveniently spaced between 2, 4, 8, or 12 hours of use. You can choose from 3 speed settings to clean the air as quickly as you desire. You can sleep with the glowing night-light on or off while using the included essential oil pads fill your home with relaxing fragrance; and or turn on the ionizer to enhance purification. My husband and I already have a purifier for our bedroom, so we put this in my daughter's room who also struggles with allergies. She wakes up every single morning sneezing... until she started running this at night while she sleeps. It is way quieter than ours (similar to a quiet ceiling fan as a comparison), it's really quiet, and the ionizer must be working as her allergies have been so much better since she started sleeping with it on. You can also turn the light off if the light bothers you, wish ours had that option too as ours we had to tape over. Couldn't be happier with it and have nothing negative to say!
HEPA filters definitely work and really improve air quality. I can save you some reading and tell you up front that we are highly satisfied with this HoMedics total clean filter. It's an excellent filter for a smallish room. The filter is whisper quiet on the lower fan settings, but there is much more noise on the highest setting. It's a bit more like a white noise machine on high. Not intrusive, but not whisper quiet. This machine definitely reduces odors. It's probably the most effective machine we have had for odors. The buttons or controls are positive and work well and the light controls are a great touch. You can change between a night-light to just the controls buttons lit to a blacked out with no lights on. We didn't try the essential oils function, but it looks simple to use. I will say that you should heed the room size specifications. If I were to change anything about this filter, I would get a larger one. Not that there's anything wrong with the filter, just my room is a bit larger than the recommended room size. This is a really nice filter and I do recommend it.
I ordered this air purifier and was not disappointed. It does everything that it is advertised. I love how convenient it is to move around. It does remove the damp smell and the air does smell cleaner. I like that it came with a couple of filters. I haven't ordered extra filters but will be doing so as needed.
We have an old farmhouse so some of the closets leave a less than desirable odor on the clothes if they haven't been worn for a while. I've tried various laundry soaps, softener and dryer sheets but I couldn't keep that fresh out of the dryer scent so I thought I would try a small air purifier. I love it! And it's so quiet at night that I can fall asleep from the humming sound and also that I can put Essential oils in and it gives off a light sent which is not overwhelming but makes our clothes smell fresh and clean every morning regardless of how long they have sat in the closet. We had originally ordered it just for the closet but after leaving the door open by accident a couple of times we have found it is powerful enough to clean and freshen the air in the bedroom as well I love the fact that you can add your preference to the scent pad to make it as bold or light as you desire. Then there is the built-in night light, no more stumbling to the closet in the morning trying not to wake my husband on the weekend. Definitely two thumbs up!
We got this HoMedics Total Clean,UV-C, 5-in-1 Tower True HEPA Air Purifier a few weeks ago. We were excited to get this product. I have allergies and have been wanting one of these for a while. After turning it on for just a few minutes the air already starts to smell cleaner. It does help with odors for sure. We have kids in the house and it seems like we tend to get sick often so I am excited to see if the air purifier helps us even if it is just helping us be a little healthier. So far it has been good! It also came at a great time. We are about to have a baby join us and I am happy that we will have cleaner air for him in the bedroom. I wish the purifier had more settings for the fan, it only has three settings, and the top one is a little loud but we have still been using it for a noise maker at night, and it has been good. I am happy with the quality of this product. It seems to be a good quality product and should last a while. I am happy about the overall of the product, and I would recommend it to my friends and family.
I got the HoMedics Total Clean Air Purifier for my sons room hoping it would help with his allergies. It was very easy to set up and use. Very quiet. Great display. I placed the air purifier at least 6 inches away from walls and 3 feet from heat sources. I have had the device turned on for about 2 weeks and I haven't noticed that it is helping with his allergies. I checked the filter and it still looks brand new. I thought it would have some debris after that much time since we do have 5 cats and 2 dogs and live in the desert where the wind blows dust most days. Maybe it just needs more time? The Air Purifier has a tray where I can add essential oils to scent the room. It comes with (3) Essential Oil Pads. I have not used that yet but I think it's nice. After shopping for filters and bulbs I find that they are found on the manufacture website and they are quite expensive. To replace the bulb and the filter cost as much as a new air purifier. Depending on how long the original lasts would be the deciding factor on whether I would recommend this product.
I received the Homedics Air Purifier at the end of my family having COVID when we were cleaning our sheets, wiping the couches etc to try and remove left over virus. The air Purifier is very quiet, that I had to check if it was on, and has a place for essential oils to circulate the room if desired. The buttons on top are touch and not something you actually have to depress. My dog happened to use the bathroom in our kitchen so I used the air Purifier in the kitchen to help reduce the smell and it helped but it didn't eliminate the odor.
If you want to breathe better, definitely invest in one of these. I've been pretty impressed with this device so far. It's ready to use right outside of the box, basically plug and play. It can get a bit loud on higher settings, but it's pretty quiet on low and you won't notice it throughout the night. It's a reasonable size unit that doesn't take up too much space. The settings are very basic, but that's all you really need. If you've got a bad smell in your apartment or room, this will purify the air pretty quick. Just leave it on overnight. It also has a timer feature so you can leave it on and forget about it. I also love the nightlight and UVC feature but not sure how useful it'll be. I am hoping this helps me sleep better and deal with summertime allergies. The filter is easy to clean as well. I'm hoping this thing lasts as I've heard replacement parts are hard to find.
