I searched all over for the best price; this was on Ebay for $1,200.00! I had it shipped to my local store to avoid the 100 shipping. Its all put together already so there is no setup other than pulling it out of the box and setting it up with pillows an such. Great!!!
I purchased this on 5/5/2011 and went and picked it up on 5/22/2011. It is beautiful. Goes with my outdoor decor beautifully. Hubby can lay outside and take a nap. Definitely worth the money and a good value. Thank you Walmart.
I bought this product to spruce up my deck; I have a smallish space, but the fact that you can configure this in multipe ways worked out great. The "bones" of this set are great, the wicker is durable and the black finish is sleek and contemporary. I did not like the fabric on the cushions however, they were boring (ugly) and slippery...so I made my own covers from some great summer fabric I got at the craft store. The whole set is a now a great comfy lounge area with washable slipcovers all for less than half the price of some other designer ones---plus adding the slipcovers made it a custom piece just for me! I had read all the reviews prior to purchasing this product. I was prepared to make straps to keep the pillows attached to the seat backs. It was time consuming but worth it. With all the pillows attached nicely the sectional is very comfortable to sit or lay on. For the price this sectional is PERFECT!
The powder-coated steel and all-weather plastic wicker frame of this sectional is very sturdy, modern & nice for the price, but overall this product has some serious flaws. First of all, the color, in person, is actually golden, not the taupe cocoa in the picture at all. Next, the back cushions are tapered, which, combined with the slippery fabric, means they are constantly sliding down. They should come with Velcro to adhere to the seat backs. Finally the sectional is made up of 5 separate chairs, without an included way of keeping them together. We used black zip ties, which are not visible, and which hold the chairs together, but, the chairs frequently slip slightly forward or back out of alignment, due to the tubular shape of the frame (squared edges and a lock/snap in place feature would eliminate this). All of these could be minor irritations to someone less OCD than me, who doesn't mind a slightly sloppy look. And for the price, it fits perfectly in the space, is modular, and very comfortable. But I really feel these minor design suggestions could be easily incorporated without dramatically affecting the cost.
We receive this Site To Store, which saved the cost of shipping.. The color is a little too gold, however, it is okay. Putting it together was easy as connect the dots. Each peice is separt and it stack for easy storage...nice feature. As stated in the other reviews, the back pillows would fall forward, however, an easy fix as I sewed velcro to each left and right side of each pillow and slipped them through the weave in the back of the set and you can't even see them. One thing I wish they would have made support straps on the seats going both ways instead of just side to side as I think it would have made the cushions not sink so much when sitting in them, however, for the money of which we paid the roll back price of 346.00 and the enjoyment of another living space....you can't beat the set. I love it because you can lay on it and read a book or break it up for separt seating and stack it to store.........Loven' it
I was pleasantly surprised with the look and comfort of this product. It looks great in a corner of our deck! I do have a couple of ideas for making this product totally excellent. Because of the material, the back pillows slide. They should be anchored with velcro like the bottoms. Also, I had to put tie wraps around the legs to keep them more securely together to stop it from moving when someone sat down. Overall, I would definitely recommend this product. It is well worth the money.
My biggest surprise upon opening the box was that the fabric, which looks like a textured weave, is just a picture of a textured weave. It is really fabric with a print of a texture. I'm okay with that, but it was a surprise to me. As far as the cushions falling down, they do, but I solved that problem by attaching a long piece of black ribbon (to match the piped trim) to each side of the cushion, then pulling them back around the frame and tying with a bow. It actually looks cute with a little bow at the back of each chair. You can do this on all the cushions except the corner. No rust yet, but I'm sure it will happen. I leave mine out in the rain, and the cushions dry fairly quickly, I'd say in 24 hours. I like the the clean cut lines and contemporary look.
I Love this sectional I purchased May 2009. Lovely product held up very well for the summer of 2009. The color is great. I needed something to spruce up my deck.
The cushions are thick and assembly is quick and easy. The unit doesn't stay together well with the velcro straps, so we had to add additional support. The material is water resistance and does the job, and the quality is good for outdoor furniture. One major complaint, the back pillows do not stay in place, they slide everywhere. But since this is seasonal furniture it's ok.
