I have had my set since the holidays 2007 and it has held up very nice considering I have animals that like to sneek on the bed. I get lots of compliments and people are surprised that I purchased it at Walmart for such a fabulous price! Fits great on a Cal King Pillow top mattress. I actually purchased a second one when my Walmart had it on sale as I intend to keep this style for a long time! And JUST in case I damage it somehow!
I LOVE this bedding! I had already bought Canopy sheets (300 thread count, and SO soft & comfy) and was holding out for the right comforter set... This was perfect! Wasn't sure when I first got it, but then got it on the bed and it was wonderful. I've sleep better now than I ever have. No problems with the quality and the materials. Our bed is a very strong design, and this really sets it off. I don't use the bedskirt, but am holding onto it so that one day, when I'm changing the look, it can go into the guest room. I plan on keeping it forever. What comfort! Thanks!!
When I received this set, it was not exactly what I expected. However, it was very nice and a very good value for the price paid. It is incredibly soft and comfortable. I am redecorating my bedroom and this set adds a touch of elegance. Since putting it on my bed, I have decided to change the color scheme and paint my bedroom the cocoa color in the comforter.
I bought a King size set and it fits great on my new pillowtop mattress with plenty of overhang. I will be purchasing a chocolate/dark brown bedskirt instead of the tan one it came with, just because I would prefer a contrast. The quality seems above average for this HomeTrends brand. I had to go to five differant Wal-marts to find all 3 coordinating decor pillows. I have not found the sheet set that matches though, I am not sure the thread count will be high enough for my liking anyways. I am just using dark brown sheets right now and it looks really nice. We have not slept under the comforter, we just fold it back and sleep under a vellux blanket and sheet. It seems like it would be plenty warm though, maybe even too warm for Texas. Only negative is that it is Dry clean only! I am not sure how it holds up after Dry Cleaning, as I have only had it for 1 week. But, I do have 2 small children, so I will be finding out very shortly I am sure! LOL! I have already had many compliments on this set, it is a great look and being in the neutral colors was a bonus for me. The faux suede is very soft and goes great with the tiny amount of satin and embroidery. It is not to feminine, not to manly. My husband even likes it. We have been battling this for sometime now. He would have prefered Camo I am sure though, but he knew not to even ask! :)
Nice to look at but not sturdy enought to use every day, I have only used mine for 3 weeks and already it looks well used and the filling is starting to shift.
This comforter provides a little bit of elegance with a mostly casual, comfortable feel. The bedskirt seemed a bit thin and it did not allow for a footboard so I slit the skirt and hemmed the raw edges so it would fit nicely around my bedrails at my footboard. I actually placed the comforter on my bed with the satin stripes going vertically rather than horizontally. I liked it much better that way. I also bought three coordinating throw pillows, my bed looks awesome!
I absolutley would recommend this product to anyone purchasing a comforter...it looks very elegant and expensive...i paid a very good price for this i'm glad i didn't listen to my husband in buying a $400 comforter set somewhere else !!!
When I first saw this comforter I fell in love with it! It was beautiful. The first night I put it on my bed it was like sleeping in the clouds. It was so soft. I owned it for 9 wks before it started ripping at the seams and I returned it to the store yesterday. I should have listened to all the reviews about it ripping before I went and bought it. It is a very pretty comforter but not made very good. If it wasnt for the ripping I would have loved to keep it. This is a picture of it before ripping. It is beautiful I must say but very cheaply made.
I searched for along time for a bedding set that I could show off. I fell in love with the this set when I saw it.. I bought the curtains and throw pillows also... Less than a week after I had the comforter it began to tear.. The seems began to pull apart... I have attempted to sew it but it does not appear to be working. I am very upset with this set.. I spent a lot of money on the matching peices and I don't know what I will do now...
It took a while to pick a new comforter set and I loved it at first, when I brought it home I found out it was Dry clean Only and have several ripes at the seams and only had it since November
