I have every piece of the Miranda collection from Sauder and I must say that it is fantastic. Sauder is the company to buy from... easy to put together, great customer service and fantastic products. I only wish they made a coffee table to match. I actually called to request it but since this collection is a Wal-Mart Exclusive Wal-Mart actually has to request it. Sauder customer service said that they get a lot of requests for a coffee tale for this collection... so come on Wal-Mart... lets get it done!!!
These side tables are just beautiful! I am using them as nightstands and they are functional and well built. The instructions are not hard to follow and had no problem with putting them together. I hope you enjoy. I have purchased things by Sauder before and have had them for several years and still look great.
I really like the look of this collection. It's very solid feeling even for particle board and looks very much like real wood. Right now I have the matching TV stand and I plan on buying a second side table, the book shelves and maybe even the dresser. My only complaint is that the parts don't always fit correctly. The bottom shelf for my side table was not cut to the correct size. I had to hammer it in place with my fist to get it to fit.
I bought this side table because it matched my bedroom furniture. It is not perfect for a nightstand but looks ok. It's very sturdy and seems well built. Only real complaint is that is that it is not real wood and when you open the drawer it smells sort've cheap. Its probably the glue that holds the wood particles together. I expect it to go away over time.
I have the bookcase, 3 of the side tables plus the TV stand and they are very attractive. 2 of the side tables are in my bedroom as nightstands and 1 side table is in the living room holding up a 175 pound round fish aquarium which has sat on top of the table for 3 years now. For the money they are very nice looking pieces which hold up well. Soon I am going to purchase the amoire and the dresser to put in the bedroom. Like a few other comments here, I would love to see a matching coffee table to put in front of my sofa.
