Great quality at great price! Have always purchased Hon 310 file cabinets. Deep drawers, high drawers for hanging files, lock included.
This file cabinet is perfect for what I was needing. And, no assembly required!! They delivered & even helped put it in the garage for me where I wanted it. Definitely would recommend.
Before buying this product, I read a lot of reviews for cheaper file cabinets. Most of them had issues with shipping, but some did mention the quality being inferior for cheaper models. I did some research myself by visiting stores and checking quality and there was a huge difference. I think the sheet metal used has different thickness which changes the quality drastically. Finally settled for this one, but given the size, I was still skeptical about the product getting damaged while shipping - as read in almost all reviews. To my surprise, the shipping was good, there was no damage on the outer cardboard box... The product was undamaged and had no scratches :). The quality is also very good for the price. Also, shipping was really fast.
HON's quality shows throughout the design of each drawer. Perfect file size for letter folder hooks. Professional metal design and color for home or commercial office.

I bought two of these to replace some damaged in a recent move. While the quality of these file cabinets isn't what it was when I bought my first pair 20 years ago, it's acceptable. I like the low-profile locks - the old ones protruded from the file. Inspect the shipping container carefully for damage.
I have an older 2-drawer Hon and have been very happy with it. I had hoped the quality was still there. However, it is obvious that this new one is a little tinnier.. Even the drawers do not glide as well as the older models. But the price was the best for the quality received.
This file cabinet features full extension drawers which allow better access to files at the back of the drawers. It came with a few small dings on one side which my husband was able to get out. I was amazed at just how much it holds. All in all, good value for the money and better made than most of the file cabinets we looked at.
I ordered tow of these last year. I needed tow more and ordered the same ones again. They look good, work well. What I like best about these are the followers in each drawer. It in not the wire holder. the follower is easy to move and stays in place. It doesn't take up as much room as the wire.The only problem that I have with the filing cabinet, the labels for the drawers will not stay in place. You have to make the label 2 to 3 times thicker than normal for them to not fall out.
I thought I was selecting a more durable file cabinet. they are flimsy and hard to open. We purchased 4 and one of them had the bottom damaged in transit. This caused the drawers to be very difficult to open. Unfortunately, we had not unpacked and inspected within the time frame and also did not want the hassle of calling, reporting, returning etc. My husband pulled and twisted until we were able to get the drawers to work. The other 3 were ok but not the quality I expected.
