It is obvious that how much laundry this hamper could take depends on how FREQUENTLY you wash it ! I bought a similar one 13 years ago, and it is still standing, just a bit faded...(as it was cotton, not nylon mesh). It was enough for two of us, doing 2 loads a weekend. The bedsheets get washed right away...so they never land in the hamper. I got this 2nd one to keep the whites/ lighter colors separate from the darker colors, so i don't have to spend time sorting them . I prefer the collapsable hamper because they are SO light, not stiff and bulky. My son has one bought also 13 years ago when he left for college and which he still uses now as a fully employed civil servant. Absolutely recommended!!
This is probably big enough for a baby's laundry. I was expecting it to be a full size hamper but when I received it I was disappointed. It's not even enough space to hold my lingerie. I returned it.
