seems to help , not as dry upon awakening
Even though there is a dripping noise from the waterfall, I find it soothing. It's not very loud at all. A low humming noise is all and the vapors are great that come out of it. I love how I can just fill it up without having to tote it everywhere. Also the clear plastic piece broke due to my own fault and customer service replaced it for free. I would recommend this, but only if you enjoy the outdoor sounds of rain dripping. Again, it's soothing to me. But I am from the country.
This humidifier is great. It blows out more mist than we expected even on the lowest setting. I would normally turn it on a few minutes before bed on a medium setting. At bed time, I turn it down to the lowest setting. It was a little noiser than I had expected, but not as bad as older humidifiers we've had. The light from it is pretty bright for us, because we don't use a night light or anything. If you're using it in a kids room or for someone who like a little extra light, it'll work great.
Easy to use, easy to fill, doesn't use the paper fillers. Can turn off easily.
The humidifier performs as most ultrasonic units do, except it recirculates the water to the tank via a "waterfall". Although this is a good idea as to not cause stagnant water, you will hear a trickling sound while it is running. All things aside, the thing works quite well.
I bought this humidifier at the end of last winter. It worked great for about a month, then I put it in storage until 2 weeks ago or so. It worked okay for about a week into the season, but i noticed that it was struggling to pump water and producing less vapor. Now it has completely stop producing vapor. Not recommended.
Unit works well for a little while, then it dies. Based on internet feedback it seems to be very common with these units. Customer support from honeywell basically instructs you to ship the unit at your cost and include payment for return shipping and handling and they will evaluate for a warranty. At that point you're nearly to the cost of the unit. So basically it's trash.
I was so excited to find this unit because it is one of the few I could find the demineralization cartridges for. The unit is the easiest I have found to operate but because it continually circulates the water for freshness, it has a pump with an impeller. I re-seated the pump a couple of times but unit sounds like a helicopter in the room. Cannot sleep with it. Also very bright night light that you cannot turn off. Excellent design but just too noisy.
I was surprised to see how poorly this item performed considering Honeywell usually makes quality items. Pump wouldn't work correctly; no visible mist and water plus unit both turned very warm. Returned and after reading reviews on several sites ( which I should have done prior to buying), discovered more negatives than positives.
This product worked extremely well for exactly one day. I filled up the tank, plugged it in and turned it on at around 6pm on a Tuesday and the mist stopped blowing at around 6pm on a Wednesday. The "trickle" was still flowing, no mist was blowing and unfortunately a small trickle of yellowish liquid was seeping out of the bottom of the unit. I ran less than two gallons of clean water through the unit. Maybe I got a lemon but from other sites I've read in my search for a reliable humidifier I'm seeing that this may not be the case.
