Over the years we've had several brands/types of humidifiers in our home. This one is great! The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is that on high it's a little loud. It's white noise, so in a bedroom it's not bad. In a den, we have to turn the TV up a notch. On low speed it's silent. Within hours we felt more comfortable in our den. Since my kids are grown, I'd forgotten how helpful humidifiers were for our health, skin and breathing, but also how benefical it is for our wood furniture and floors. This model is a breeze to care for. The top is the fan and motor. The bottom can be easily cleaned by hand or put in the dishwasher. Yes, there's a $10 filter to use, but it doesn't need replacing but once every 90 days or so. The 3 year warranty is great too.
