This was given to me as a gift. I absolutely love this shredder. Occasionally if you put too many in at one time it does have to work a little harder. But that's not an issue for me. I just put them in fewer at a time.
The can is made out of semi-sturdy plastic not metal. The opening for the paper is not large enough so the papers get bulged and that causes the shredder work harder (as if the number of sheets were doubled.) Also, the can is too small and fills up quickly so it requires constant emptying. It would have been better if the can had a DRAWER for shredded papers so emptying them wouldn't be a chore especially with heady shredder top.
Works fine but couldn't tell from the picture that it was not full size like the Honeywell that it was replacing. It is like a midget shredder so it needs to be emptied more frequently.
The top (shredder mechanism) is very heavy and hard to left off the basket. Wish it had a slid out compartment to empty the shredded paper. Shreds well. Just clumsy and difficult to use.
