Took about 15 minutes to install once I figured out the wiring. Setting up the Wi-Fi and app on 2 phones was simple. Used carrier/Google search to find the wiring conversion. Much easier to control than the original carrier controller.
At the hardware store and saw this on sale. OMG! The task of continuously changing temperatures is OVER! Not only does it automate that task, butt I can always adjust the settings from my cell phone. It works great with Alexa, and my utility bill has actually gone down almost 10% by letting Alexa make changes when we sleep, and when we leave the house unoccupied. If you don't like saving money, don't get one!
Replaced 14-year old Honeywell Thermostat with the Honeywell Home RTH6580WF Smart Thermostat. Dimensions are same which made it very easy to install without any painting or drilling holes in wall. Printed installation instructions are easy to follow. Watch video for visualization on installation. Unit works very well. Really like the remote control function. Impressed so far!
Very happy with this thermostat. This is our second unit of the same type. It allows us to the things we wanted such units to do including easy remote adjusting of temperatures, setting several different schedules for each day and the like. And, the price was very reasonable. On the whole, it meets our needs without being so sophisticated for us to manage. Very happy!
This is my second Honeywell Thermostat, my first was a Honeywell 5000 series. So the wiring to the thermostat was the same, but since I have a heat pump the thermostat setup was a little more complicated. It did take my internet Wi-Fi system a few tries to get connected. I'm very pleased with my new Honeywell Home - WIFI 7-Day Programmable Thermostat, works as promised.
I had to have a professional set up for safety but it looks similar to my old thermostat with now the benefits of being smart. I would recommend this product. Price of this product is reasonable and better than what is now out there. Simple instructions for set up. But for installation for a novice like me had to hire a professional for my safety.
In your advertisement it didn't say C wire required. In order to have this work I had to spend additional money for a C wire adapter. Company should have supplied adapter.
I knew my hot water system with the 2-wire Honeywell Round thermostat would need a 'C' wire. So wasn't I pleased when the box on the WIFI thermostat said "C wire accessory included (see photo). After two calls to Customer service, it turns out the "accessory" is a jumper wire. That's it. 2" of 20 ga wire. Disappointing to say the least. The label is misleading - calling a stub of wire an accessory, borders on untruthful. Looks like I'll be returning it.
We have been waking up freezing in the morning and today was the last straw.... Out thermostat seems to set itself, and this morning I checked and it was set at 40 degrees... Last week, we saw that it was set at 62. NO one has touched this thermometer....
The item came in a box that had been previously, cut open, parts were missing. Horrible!
