This fan works very well. I can feel the air across the room as it oscillates. It has 2 fans in one. One small fan on top and large fan on the bottom. All of the rooms on my second floor are usually hot. The Honeywell fan is very powerful. I'm extremely happy with this fan. Additionally, I use a fan at night because I like the humming sound that a fan makes. On the low setting, this fan hums a little to loud.
This fan is really nice, quiet with a very small footprint but has a lot of power. Putting the fan together was very easy. Less than a couple of minutes and it was ready to go. It takes up a very small spot in my living room. That is such a bonus for small spaces. It oscillates quietly. Having 2 fans is great. You can have the top fan blowing at the ceiling to move air up high and the lower fan moves the air where you are sitting. I like the black color. I would recommend this to anyone.
The Honeywell 2-in-1 Turbo Force Tower Fan, HYF500, Black is a very versatile and powerful fan. The fan is designed as a tower fan that is unlikely to tip over, takes up very little room but pushes a lot of air around, and versatile because it can blow air on two different areas at the same time. As you can see in the picture there are dual fan controls as well as the option to have it oscillate or not. The unique feature of this fan is the top fan head, it can be swiveled up or down to blow air in a slightly different area than the lower fans. The box claims that the fan can blow air forty feet away, but I haven't found that to be totally factual. I will say that I can get a nice cooling effect ten to fifteen feet from the unit. This fan is relatively quiet, I found it to make less noise than box fans. It has an extremely small foot print while putting out a large amount of air movement. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality fan that takes up a small amount of space.
This is an awesome little fan. It's definitely not the box fan of yesterday. It's sleek, quiet, and very powerful. It creates a massive whirlwind whenever we turn it on. We have used it with and without our electric A/C and it made the space so cool in both instances. It moves the cold air around the room when the A/C is on, and when the A/C is off, it makes the room so cool and comfortable. It's very quiet especially on the lowest setting. You could definitely use this fan at night and sleep super peacefully. I also love the look of it. It's black and slim. It fits easily into any corner. And in spite of the the slim size, this fan still puts out lots of air.
THE HONEYWELL TWO IN ONE TURBO TOWER FAN IS THE ONE FOR YOU...HAD ONE BEFORE AND COULD NOT WAIT TO GET ANOTHER ONE. MY DAUGHTER HAD ONE BEFORE AND I WAS AMAZED HOW COOL THE TURBO FAN WOULD KEEP HER ROOM ...THIS ONE CAME IN BLACK COLOR . SURPRISED THAT THE FAN PIVOTED IN A 90 DEGREE ANGLE. T IS ALSO VERY QUIET AND COOL AND GIVES YOU THAT RELAXING FEELING OF A COOL EVENING. WHAT IS NICE IS IT PIVOTS TO COOL THE ENTIRE ROOM WHILE THERE IS ANOTHER FAN CONCENTRATED DIRECTLY ON YOU. FOR THESE REASON I RECOMMEND BUYING OR AT-LEAST TRYING THIS HONEYWELL TWO IN ONE TURBO FAN. THIS IS PERFECT FOR THAT KID IN COLLEGE FOR THE DORM OR IN YOUR BASEMENT COOLING THE FAMILY OFF.
I know saying any product is the best is a pretty bold statement but I can confidently say this is the best I've used as far as looks, feaures, versatility and price. It also does not have the problematic pet peeves I find in fans. The fan is quiet compared to how much power it is putting out and the power cord is 6 ft long enough in most instances to not need an extention cord. I want to point the owners manual for this fan is the same as another similar fan which confused me at first. This model, HYF500, does not come with a remote and it does not have a carrying handle mentioned in the manual. I searched the box and packing material several times looking for the remote which is not included. This fan comes assembled except for the base which is just a matter of attaching and screwing on a locking nut which takes all of 2 minutes. I like that the base is wide enough to give the fan stability and a solid foundation which makes is sturdy enough even on deep carpet. The fan is a sleek modern looking black and is hard plastic but doesn't look plasticky. I love the versatility of this tower fan as it can be used for many different purposes. Since it's 2 fans in 1, the fans offer many options as they can be used together or seperatley depending on your needs. The main fan is enlosed in the bottom of the tower and the other smaller fan is located at the top of the fan. The overall fan is an ocillating fan which means it turns which I woud estimate at a 45 degree turn back and forth. The smaller top fan tilts and pivots making it easy to aim at where you want the breeze to specifically go. I'm sitting at my desk now and have it pointed right at me at chair height. The fan has 6 speeds on it's manually controlled knobs. These can be played around with the multiple settings to find your perfect setting for your needs. You do not need an engineering degree to operate. This fan is very affordable and comes with a 1 year warranty on parts and labor making this the best fan I have ever used!
I am one of the people who use a fan for white noise even if I'm not hot all year round! The Honeywell 2-in-1 Turbo Force Tower Fan is absolutely perfect for me. It's powerful enough to circulate a blast of cool air throughout the room with just the right amount of fan white noise. I can sit the fan away from by bed so that it doesn't blow directly on me and still feel it's cooling abilities. I love the sleek black color. It's perfect for my decor. The oscillating abilities allows for 90 degree pivoting. It has three speeds and when on high speed can cool an entire master bedroom. I would definitely recommend.
This is a pretty awesome & powerful fan! It stands at 32 inches tall and the unit has 2 independently controlled fans. There are 3 speed settings for each fan, so you can customize the airflow to fit your needs. I really like that the top fan pivots for entire room air circulation & the larger bottom fan can either remain in one spot or oscillate for whole room cooling. I have been using this fan in my living room & it's a nice size that doesn't take up a huge amount of space. I have it plugged in by my front door and I can feel it blowing all the way across the room. So it's definitely a true turbo force fan. The only downside of it being a turbo force fan, is that on the highest setting it can be loud. This isn't one of those quiet cooling type of fans that make absolutely no sound when they are running. Now the noise isn't be any means awful, but if your noise sensitive then you may find it to be to loud. But overall I really do like this fan and find that it really can cool a good sized room down. It's a nice sturdy fan & has really good powerful airflow to it. Would definitely recommend!
This fan is a good mover of air. I would definitely recommend this fan but it does have some negative points. Pros: It moves air well. It has a fully adjustable upper fan so that you can blow air at two different angles. Both fans have low, medium, and high settings. The fans can be used together or just one at a time. The tower oscillates. It was very easy to put together. The controls on the fan are easy to reach and easy to understand. The cons: it is not whisper quiet especially compared to my blade less tower fan. There is no remote or timer so the fan has to be manually turned on and off. I like my fan to shut off as the night cools down the house so not having a timer would be a deal breaker for a bedroom fan. I will use this fan in my living room which is a great use for it.
We received this Honeywell 2-in-1 Turbo Force Tower Fan in consideration for a honest review. We were happy to have a chance to get this tall tower fan right before summer set in since our house does get very warm in the summer even with air conditioning going. Our first impression was "Wow, this will be great!" It came well packed and it was very easy to assemble with only the base needing to be put on which only took a few minutes and no tools. Once we turned it on it was amazing how strong the breeze was coming from both fans, top and bottom. What drew us to this fan was the fact that it had the 2 fans to it. The top fan is great since you can pivot it up or down (straight) and gives added circulation when it is pivoted in a upwards direction. Both fans can be operated independently of each other which is also a great selling point. It measures approximately 32" tall and about 9 1/2" wide with controls on the side, one for the top fan, one for the main body fan and then a button for the oscillation. Now for were we believe this fan could stand improvements. First off we thought this fan came with a remote control but it doesn't. They do have the same fan that does (HYF550) and we would highly recommend you purchase that one. With two fans it is difficult to get the right setting the first time which means jumping up and down to change each setting until you find the right one. Second, the oscillation really isn't that great. It did take us a few times "fooling" with the cord underneath before the fan would fully oscillate without stopping after about 1" and "popping" then going back in the same direction. Once we did get that part fixed it still seems to "catch" on something during the movement and jump on its way. It only oscillates about 1/5th of the circumference which seems too short of a distance. Third, it is top heavy and when placed on carpet it is unsteady, easy for a child or pet to knock over. Lastly we would have to say that from what we noticed most fans of this caliber come with a remote control and your not forced to purchase a "step up" model in order to have that convenience. Would we recommend this to a friend - yes, because of the amount of breeze it does put out... but only if they purchased it with a remote.
