Let me start by saying over the last 15 years I owned 2 Bissell Pro Heat carpet machines. I bought the second one because I bought the first one, I'm not one to comparison shop. Well when the second one died on me, my wife suggested we purchase the "Power Dash Pet". We read the reviews and ordered one. When it arrived I was less than amused as I put it together, thinking, "Its half the size of the Pro Heat". When I turned the power on to it, I instantly knew that I was in for a surprise. It even sounded more powerful than I was used to. This machine cleaned up my new puppy's mess so quickly, and so well. I couldn't tell where the mess was when the carpet dried. I gotta say, "Hoover, you got a new customer for life", as long as you keep building machines of this quality. Cleaning this machine after use is a breeze. Being lightweight and powerful, this machine is recommended to everyone looking for a new one.
I have beautiful terrazzo floors throughout my small 2 bedroom home. I use area carpets to warm and define the spaces, so I don't have the need or space for a larger cleaner. This was on sale and seemed like a good option to try. I am happy so far. Pros: Compact, easy to assemble and operate. Visibly clean difference on first pass. (Right side of rug compared to the left!) Cons: Small machine means small water tank. I had to refill the tank 6 times to clean my 7x9 rug (which was pretty dirty from a coffee spill, dogs and beach life). Nitpick details: Fill line writing on clean water tank is small and easy to miss. Removing the dirty water tank is a bit awkward but it releases easily. So far, this machine is an effective cleaner at a good price.

We have dogs and cats, mix of ages and hair lengths and of course love all the crazy little critters. A couple years ago our senior dog had several accidents on the carpet and we used the fancy B word cleaner that we purchased for about 4x the price of this one. It seemed to work on the worst of the soil but never pulled up the WET when trying to dry the carpet after cleaning. The result was a stain that reappeared on the wet spot and a foul smell that we just couldn't get rid of no matter what we tried. Frustrated and many sinus problems later we decided to try this Hoover compact cleaner. We've only had it a week but it's removed the old stains and smells. Before getting carried away, I did 3 spots that were really bad and they have not returned...with the old cleaner the spots kept coming up through the carpet again and again. After using the Hoover, smell is still as fresh as when I cleaned it a few days ago. To get it really clean, I will need to take my time and clean the carpet in the whole room not just my little test spots. I wasn't really sure it was going to work as well as it did. I did try the sample carpet shampoo from Hoover and another brand I had. They both removed the same amount of stains and dirt but I did like the scent that the Hoover one left.
I just recieved yhe Hoover Powerdash amd i love it. I went right away to cleaning my carpets. Must comment on the powerful suction of this machine. It also included a bottle of cleaning solution which was awesome. I love this product and thought i was worth leaving a review for
I have pets as most people do. however my eldest dog who recently passed away was urinating on the carpet just about daily, sometimes more than once in a day. regardless of what products I used the carpet was never getting clean. This machine has pulled 90% of these old stains out of the carpet, with the help of a pretreat. my carpets has a raised design so it doesn't get inside the boxes of the design but it has done a pretty decent job. I purchased it more for an emergency fix for an oops, and planned on renting a machine, however due do the pandemic rentals are on a freeze. money is tight for me and the price point is good. You will have to refill the water tank more often because it's tiny. it's a little bit bigger than a wet floor mop refill bottle. The dirty water tank holds a tiny bit more than the clean tank so I suggest emptying it at the same time. I gave it 4 stars simply because the suction could be more powerful, buy for such a small machine it does a good enough job. the photo I provided was a double "wet" pass. and I will do a second pretreat and try again after dry. Also buy it in the store. It's way less expensive.
So I bought this shampooer yesterday because of the great reviews and the price and it was a pet shampooer. I personally don't like this shampooer because you have to fill it up too many times. Now It was late when I finally decided I was going to actually clean the carpet so I figured I would just do the areas where the dog had peed and the rest of the carpet the next day, well just for a small area that was about five long and about 2 1/2 feet wide could of been smaller than that, I had to fill the water tank up at least 2xs. The traffic and peed area wasn't even that bad and it didnt clean very well. Welp I guess you get what you pay for. I will be returning it to the store. The pictures are just to show how small the area was and I had to refill more than once . The first picture I had to refill the tank 3xs.
I bought this machine for something lightweight to clean up after my dogs! I was super excited only to find out that after the 2nd and 3rd usage the power button wouldn't push down to turn it on! I am not sure what to do about and the odds of me taking it apart mid use to next to nil.
Purchased this over the bissel due to high reviews. The vacuum does clean based on the colour of the dirty water. However several things brought down my rating: 1. The dirty water tank when removed, can easily spill from either of the 2 holes at the bottom. Required vacuming where water spilled. 2. The dirty water tank is cumbersome to clean with all the link trapped inside. 3. Dirty water tank looks big but fills up fast. 4. Clean water tank is small. Took 4 refils to do a 12×14' room. 5. Even after vacuuming with a strong dyson vacuum, the hoover left lint tracks on the first pass, on the second pass to the point I was just picking them up as i went along. 6. Lint clogs the nozzle. 7. Less about the vacuum maybe but pet stains not removed with designated pet cleaner solution. 8. High traffic area still looks discoloured. Will consider a tougher shampoo.
Bought this power dash pet model FH50710.Used it once and second time smelt burning and it stopped. Called hoover and customer service e said get it fixed and you pay for it. The unit is 6 months old. Terrible customer service.
