In our house which we have 3 miles of dirt to get home, currently has 5 dogs, 8 puppies and 6 cats + teenagers and me . I vacuum twice a week, I tried other pet vacuums, dirt devil died in 3 weeks and never got a response for warranty, the eureka kept clogging every 10 feet, I bought the Hoover swivel pet xl bout 2 months ago. Still works great, hasn't clogged and pulls up stuff I didn't know was in the carpets. I'm glad I bought it. Well done!
I bought this a c ouple of m,onths ago, and immediately I loved it. I have cats and a wife with alopecia, so hair is a problem. We initially had a problem with our beater bar not revolving correctly. After 1 email to Hoover, they sent me a shipping box for the old one. The same day the new one came. I was worried about not having a vacuum for a few days while it was in transit, but no fast and easy! Professional and helpful service department made the exchange very easy/
I've had a Dyson animal vacuum for 10 years and this is even better for a better price. Powerful suction makes carpet look new. It's a heavy duty fur picker upper! Not a lightweight. Love that it can get underneath furniture, has headlights and long cord.
I replaced a Hoover Wind Tunnel with this Power Drive Upright. I was delightfully surprised as to how easy it is to use on thick, dense carpeting. It really picks up the dust and lint as well. This Power Drive is a substantial improvement over the Wind Tunnel, which I hated to replace. I highly recommend it.
My faithful canister vacuum decided to finally kick the bucket so off to the store I went to buy a new vacuum. I have my own cleaning business and have used all the high end vacuums from Dyson, to Shark, to Miele, Oreck... and anything in between. I knew I didn't want a Shark or a Dyson just from using them at clients homes and found the Hoover for a great deal. I thought worse case scenario I could take it back. Oh. My. Stars. First assembly was super easy, the quick release wand is a must for me to get around corners and edges.. etc. and the agitation from this brush roll is excellent. My carpets look great and the house actually smells cleaner thanks to the sealed system. No scatter on the wood floors either and the swivel is better in my opinion than the Dyson ball that I DREAD using when I clean for a client. Only complaints would be the turbo attachment bogs down and will not clean properly unless you give it a little extra air (it is air driven) could be quieter but it's not overly loud, and the weight is just okay. I can live with all of this because the performance is phenomenal. I had just vacuumed one night prior to buying my new Hoover and the amount of cat fur, dirt, debris and sand? The agitation is so good it pulled up a sand like substance. Very cool. Warranty is awesome also. Seems to be built well. Had Hoover's for years and still have a 90's Hoover Legacy I gave to my mom when her vacuum went. So all in all I'm very impressed and satisfied with my purchase. If Hoover keeps making them like this I will continue to buy Hoover.
This my 4th Hoover vacuum cleaner over twenty years and I have to say this is the best. It is light, maneuverable and really does a tremendous job. Where I use to have to vacuum pet hair every day, now its every other day because this vacuum picks up so much more hair and dirt from the carpet AND hard surfaces than my previous Hoover pet vacuum. And its much quieter. Really enjoy using this vacuum cleaner.
I received this as a mothers day gift from my mother. Growing up she always had a hoover and she would tell me her mom only used hoover vacuum, so it was only right that she pass the tradition on down to me. I must say this is a great vacuum, easy to push and maneuver. The suction is great I don't have to go over areas multiple times like i did with my old vacuum.
I reviewed "the 10 best vacuum cleaners on an internet site". The more affordable one was a hoover. I went to the hoover website and checked out everything that was offered. I decided on the Power Drive Pet Upright Vacuum. I choose this vacuum because it offered every option that I needed. This vacuum is every thing hoover said it would be. I love the length of the cord, and the stretch of the hose. With swivel ability, xl dirt canister, and price, the hoover family is now apart of my family.
I bought this vacuum about six months ago. It works great however, now the plastic piece on the handle that locks it in place keep breaking off (I keep super gluing it). I've reached out about a replacement part but haven't heard back. Very frustrating.
Nice vacuum, and nice price. Delivered Mon. two days early. Was on truck sat. sun. for delivery but never made it. I would have scored it a 5. BUT going with 2 stars thanks to FEDEX. failure to treat my order respectfully. The box was damaged, thankfully the vacuum and accessories were not.
